Nigel Farage, Daniel Hannan, Aaron Banks: the remaining Brexiters look so stale and dated and old. Listening to them is like eating mouldy bread from the back of the cupboard open.substack.com/pub/arguably...

Obviously not everyone agrees. The couple in front of me got up after 20 minutes and never came back. I stared at them like they were creatures from anther planet. Felt like following them into they foyer shouting: IS THIS NOT CINEMA? WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU THINK YOU'D COME HERE TO SEE?

Solar has overtaken nuclear. A decade ago it supplied 1% of the world's power. In 2025 it met three quarters of global demand growth. Almost nobody saw it coming. I spoke to Jocelyn Timperley at BBC Future about why. www.bbc.co.uk/future/artic...

think I managed to annoy this Detroit bus driver so much with my boundless enthusiasm and several questions that he just let me in for free so I'd go sit and stop engaging with him, so here's a nice cheapskate trick for you there I guess

These always hurt. I know objectively with the show turning 60 this year that even the youngest cast members would be in their 80s (I didn't know Walter was 90), but it's still never easy. These guys have been here my entire life! RIP Walter Koenig. Thank you for being there my entire life.😢
Oh no 😭 One of the last members of the USS Enterprise has left. RIP Walter Marvin Koenig (1936-2026) Star Trek, Babylon 5, Moontrap, The Starlost, The Questor Tapes, Futurama... What a career in sci-fi. I will miss Pavel Chekov. Again 😞

Saw it. Cinema packed with people of all ages. Lots of laughs: these guys really know what they're doing. Definitely not one of those disappointing TV spin-offs. Ideal half-term fare, I'd say.

Yup. It's also a very urban reaction. I'm confident in saying most people round my way - semi-rural but still London commutable already have this done. We lose power regularly and water's been distinctly hit and miss the last few years. Why wouldn't you have a torch and some water in?

Strongly agree. It's not unreasonable of the government to ask grown-ups to give half an hour's thought to what they would want to hand if the power or water went out overnight.

I know @nytimes.com we're giggling at it @nytpitchbot.bsky.social but I swear to fucking god for 2 full years after Biden won the New York Times was precisely this, every fucking headline.... Unemployment keeps falling. This is a problem for Democrats. Such a joke.

I seem to remember the Daily Mail being apoplectic that MOTD presenter Gary Lineker expressed political opinions on his own personal twitter account. But they're happy to pay Webb, presenter of Radio 4s flagship current affairs programme, to write political opinion pieces? Of course they are.

This is the basic line for all BBC News when it comes to anything other than the Right... "How will this thing that appears like good news turn out to be a disaster for Labour..." And, conversely... "The Conservatives have come third in this By-Election but that gives them an opportunity to..."
