There are NO downsides to improving the quality of air in the spaces in which our kids and their educators spend the most time. Even the cost makes itself up in reducing replacement staffing costs, bettering education, decreasing healthcare burden, etc.

Did you know that pregnant staff, aging educators, and asthmatic students suffer disproportionately in extreme classroom heat? 🌡️ Ontario must address IAQ comprehensively to ensure safe temperatures AND clean air for all. Modernizing IAQ is basic health and safety. thenarwhal.ca/ontario-peel...

The fact that he views public assets as belonging to the government is the problem. They don't belong to the government. They belong to the public. They belong to us. Not the Liberals, not Parliament, not him. Us. He's a caretaker, not an owner.

PM Carney on the privatization of federal assets: "What we're looking to do with all the tools we have is to catalyze building of this economy. If there are some assets that the federal government has that can help with that process, we'll look at it as part of a comprehensive approach."

I can’t be the only one who has noticed massive power outages happening much more often in only predominantly Black populated areas in red states at a time when those particular areas are having their power grids strained by data centers. PAY ATTENTION.

New from me. Mark Carney’s Oprah giveaway day, and a vexing question: if a new pipeline is a money-printing machine, why does no private company want to build it so that taxpayers have to? #cdnpoli www.theglobeandmail.com/politics/opi...

PARENTS: Speak to your insurance broker. Ensure your children are NAMED in your policy, and purchase additional benefits--including, at a minimum, the maximum income replacement benefit. You do NOT want to end up on government assistance following an accident, esp if you have dependent children. 1/

The idea that banning kids <16 from social media spaces will magically turn them into happier, playful, well-behaved contributors to society is both hilarious and depressing Capitalism and corruption have actively killed off third spaces over the last few decades. Where else are they gonna go?

With FIYAH going on indefinite hiatus it's really fucking important we support the mags publishing POC. If you have the means, support the things you love or they will disappear. Everyone's probs sick as fuck of hearing it but a magazine for Black voices stopped publishing today, it isn't abstract.
