It’s very simple and it’s been said over and over but I guess it needs saying continuously: if you deem one group too small to have equal rights you are enabling fascism, not fighting it. The people saying Dems are GREAT on trans rights are not paying attention and/or saying stuff like this.

In Massachusetts, we have a responsibility to protect the vulnerable and stand up for those who need it. We don’t throw trans kids under the bus for political points. We protect them—and all of our neighbors—because trans rights are human rights.

Any frank assessment of your achievements starts with an equally frank assessment of the world-historic forces that attended those achievements. For example, I often tell people who want to get into tech, "If you lack the foresight and work ethic to be born in 1971, I can't really help you." 1/

notch another victory for bsky t&s and the “calling people racist is the real problem” crowd

fwiw i used a two strike system: a “probably racist” list and a “definitely racist” one. they just straight up deleted my “definitely racist” list without notifying me. lmk if you have a fun euphemism to use instead. (i suspect my first choice “people John Brown would’ve shot” will also be deleted.)

also- if they can hide my list, then why can’t i make a private list so i can keep track of these racist assholes for my own safety?

"If trans people want a boycott of The New York Times, where's the call to do so?" Here is a declaration laying out how the NYT is a key driver of trans genocide, why boycotts work and why anyone who gives a damn about trans lives and rights must boycott The New York Times.

transnews.networkBoycott The New York TimesFor years The New York Times has relentlessly pushed anti-trans propaganda, playing a significant role in the escalating genocide against us. It's far past time for a call to action: anyone who cares ...

i encounter so many truly enraging things every day that i’m baffled by the people posting shit takes as a joke to see who can enrage people the most. fuck off with that shit! immediate unfollow

fuck Stephen Lynch

Indivisible ❌👑@indivisible.org

For 25 years, Stephen Lynch has represented a safe blue seat in Massachusetts — despite voting against the Affordable Care Act, voting for the Laken Riley Act, and treating his constituents like this. MA-08 deserves a real Democratic fighter like @patrickroath.bsky.social!

Neoclassical econ assumes rationality. The corollary of, "If you're so smart, why aren't you rich?" is "you're rich, so you must be very smart!" Thus, people assume that if powerful, well-compensated CEOs insist that "AI is changing everything," well then, *AI must be changing everything*. 1/

Today we painted Louisa’s Ghost Bike. It used to be Jessica Mink’s bike. Since 2015, I’ve created about 30 ghost bikes, but this one was the hardest to make so far. I couldn’t have done it without my best friend and brother Galen Mook. We Need Each Other. #NoMoreGhostBikes

My god. The Heritage Foundation, which mercilessly attacked transgender kids in order to protect the "integrity of women's sports," is now attacking the legal basis for women's sports. The transgender student decision is barely 2 weeks old.

i was confused why this guy only complained about going on my ‘bootlickers’ list when i’d put him on my ‘probably racist’ list too, but i should’ve realized white male fragility remains undefeated. and fuck you bsky moderation team. ‘racist’ is not and will never be the R word you cowards

(i tried to find this dude’s post that led to being listed thusly, but i’ve been down some “ancient” threads this week checking receipts on fuckhead platner and i’m not going to dig through some racist bootlicker’s replies for more than a couple minutes.)

if only there were a succinct way to associate the listing with the offending skeet… but if bsky mods don’t like my list, they’d dislike that association even more.

i wish Pochettino wouldn’t start Balogun tonight. regardless of how we feel about the fairness of his card, let’s try to win this game with honor. corrupt regimes should wither away

I think you should have more kindness for USMNT fans who first reacted to the decision before thinking through the full future implications of it all. I had a moment of joy before becoming concerned. That is a normal human reaction.

Centrist Democrats wanted us to cast some people aside in order to expand the tent and win? Great. We agreed. We choose to cast out ... them. They should just hold their nose and go along like they expected trans people to go along right? They know what to do with this play; they invented it.
