It's so sad to see the games industry flailing. Working at a big studio used to be my dream job, but now I'm having lots of fun making an indie game by myself. I'm no longer seeing this project as a way to get my foot in the door.

Sometimes when I start a new project, I do some work and then plan so thoroughly and visualize so completely that I no longer need to work on it. It's not an unfinished project: I got what I needed. It was fully realized, just not in a way other people can experience. I don't think this is bad.
