I feel like it's worth expanding with a bit of nuance on this tactical idea because there's levels and layers to this. For example: it doesn't matter as much what you do on bluesky because frankly bluesky doesn't matter. Janonismo has to be understood tactically through a material lens.

Brazilians recommending not to amplify right-wing talking points by dunking and quoting, as a winning strategy Next day, my tl is full of people dunking on rfk jr I literally would not have seen the bigotry if it wasn't for y'all repeating it. That's exactly what the Brazilians were on about!

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, “this will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, “we will survive” Let’s do that some more

Some Lula supporters apparently shouted his name out their window when it was announced he won and a cop pointed his gun at him and they took what is possibly the greatest image of a cop ever taken, like genuinely this would go hard as a cover for a Rage album its so poetic.

Startling stat — a police officer in a small Texas town handed arrested and handed over immigrants to ICE at such volume that the total number is the equivalent of 10% of his town's population. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/25/m...

Read this if you want to see an evil cop looking for a redemption arc. This man led to the detainment and deportation of 10% of an entire town by ICE and made money doing it. Disappointed that otherwise great journalism wants to treat him as "conflicted" about his actions. He knows what he's doing.

Early this year, I visited Ingram, a TX town of ~1,900, to check out a tip. The area was starting to recover from its worst flood in a century. But as Latino workers drove to jobsites to help rebuild, the tipster said, a cop in a black Dodge Charger kept stopping them ... 🧵

This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

A lot of dictatorships try to make these kind of arrangements when things go south. Important to remember there are other kinds of criminal, civil and reputational accountability pardons can’t touch. And if you’re pardoned you have no 5th amendment rights.

As a cis woman, I am not uncomfortable with trans women in the bathroom with me. That's ridiculous. I *am* uncomfortable with cis men telling me how I feel about any topic and with how much time they spend thinking about women's genitals - trans or cis. Also making up women friends is weird

Any queer culture writers who have written about this? I feel like there’s a very real difference between Gen Z and millennial queer culture and “I didn’t spend my formative years closeted” seems like one of the clear dividing lines.

Like when you have students who say they’ve been out since fifth grade, it’s actually quite interesting to think about what a gay culture that’s *not* defined by the closet/being a social outcast is going to look like for Gen Z and beyond.
