I asked Tubu, but they do not remember. Tubu asked Poob, but they do not recall. Even Poob does not recall.

enemies have a defense stat that basically makes it so that the more you upgrade your needle the less damage they take that's I'm gonna fucking combust

WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING UPGRADE MECHANICS BUT THEN YOU MAKE A BULLSHIT SYSTEM TO MAKE IT SO UPGRADING IS POINTLESS

I got (re)introduced to Voltorb Flip. This was a dangerous thing to happen.

ninja gaiden for nes

i do think we need to retire the "western game dev has been here" meme though. street fighter 6 is 100 gigs. nioh 3 is 130. ace combat 8 is 140. final fantasy rebirth is 160. this is just what games are now. the problem is AAA scope itself, not bad optimisation or regional trends

always

midnafield? i think i tried to emulate the saturn on that once

Once again thinking about how Sonic 4 had the really fun idea of zone mashups... but it needed to be honestly weirder with it

*to the tune of the mario rpg forest maze song* this game is donkey kong country three it is the one with the fucked up bee

Floridian folks can and do enjoy drunk driving and they’re still Floridian because drunk driving isn’t inherently Christlike

at least mario will never make me get afraid. at least mario will never shoot a giant bullet at me

every time i hear or see anything about kirby and the forgotten land all i can think is "at least mario will neval scare me"

A rework of the A-Z font I made out of the Street Fighter 2 continue screen bulbs.

Just got jumpscared by a Sonic '06 UI sound effect in Adventure Time lmao

A computer solved chess, and then we went back to watching grandmasters duke it out. There are algorithms for solving a Rubik's cube, but we want to see a kid barely shave off a millisecond. You don't get praise for skipping the blood, sweat, and tears when that's the whole point!!

I always think of how boring the IBM Watson episodes of Jeopardy were. Everyone ooos and ahhs at the fancy computer room, Watson gets some stuff right, and then we all stopped giving a damn that a computer could do that because it can't give me an unfunny anecdote about collecting novelty ties

Happy 56th birthday to the talented Greg Eagles. The voice of Grim in ‘The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy,’ Aku Aku in ‘Crash Bandicoot,’ and Gray Fox in ‘Metal Gear Solid.’

saw kirby tf2 and had a vision of a tf2 gamemode where you switch to the class of whoever you kill. you basically just play the objective otherwise tho. whoever wants this idea can have it for free if it's not already a thing

I LITERALLY ONLY KNOW BONKERS THE SHOW EXISTS BECAUSE OF THE POKEMON BOOTLEG

I went through a fucking massive rabbit hole about this when i was a kid this is what happens when you give an autistic 7 year old in 2013 unrestricted internet access

It’s kinda like what happened with The Flintstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy (among others) sometimes I get so wrapped up in a bootleg’s existence it feels awkward seeing the real deal

I suddenly remembered this is a thing that exists and im both extremely perplexed by its existence and pissing myself from laughter

blasting off for 25 years 🚀 happy anniversary to pikmin! 🍃

If a tv show has an episode with some robot clone of the main character, you can make a SONIC CD meme of it If it has two characters handcuffed together, Knuckles Chaotix These are the only two rules

fortnite loading screens when your mother demands for a chinese

Bluesky has four kinds of users

I don’t know how people could say that programming and art are completely different disciplines when both workflows involve going ‘This will never work, I’m a failure’, changing one thing, then thinking you might be the smartest person alive

Genuinely insane how people wanted a BGE2 because the first game was a strong 3D Zelda clone that ended on a cliffhanger, and then they finay reveal the concept for a new one and it's nothing like 3D Zelda and also a prequel For Some Reason

once again tapping the sign

For a glup shitto to be for the people they've gotta look like they're from the dark crystal

Dreamcast

One thing I appreciate about Metal Gear Solid is that you talk to a war profiteer for like 10 minutes, learn he sucks almost immediately, and then he suddenly dies.

it's always "we gotta respect artistic choices made by game developers even when we don't vibe with them" until a developer makes the artistic choice to create (and reuse) sportsmates right

meanwhile DKC3 is only ~3MB you could fit thousands of it in there

Yay !!:)
