I've barely posted on this kind of social media anywhere but I have a reason to now. I made a game!! It's called nuworm and you can play it for free in the browser. I worked on it over three years, it might take you three hours to experience. cubestudio.itch.io/nuworm

a lot of people think Knowing How The Art Is Made ruins your enjoyment of art, but i've found the opposite to be true. i'm able to see and appreciate what a piece of art does well just as much as i can see the places were it falls short, and that makes me enjoy more art!

like, artists can feel the soul in a piece of art better than most people can, i think. it's hard to walk away from a piece of art with a wholly negative impression when i know the person (or people) who made it is just like me fr fr, you know?

fuck a general strike. everyone just needs to choose to be unemployed and make art instead. i don't care if you've never made art in your life, live in poverty and do nothing but kindergarten tier crayon drawings. it is the only way we can fight back. starve the machine, feed humanity

being an artist professionally is no longer an option. if you care about art you're gonna have to do it independently and the price you're going to pay is perma super poverty. it's a noble path and necessary for the survival of humanity as a whole so i hope that doesn't scare you off

full transparency, this is very easy for me to say. i'm crazy, so i'm going to be unemployed whether or not i tell myself it's because i have nobly chosen the life of an artist. i will maintain that this line of thinking does not automatically become untrue just because it's also cope, tho

choosing not to be emotionally attached to the video game industry has been the best choice i've ever made. sorry beloved franchises are getting canceled and folks are losing their jobs but let's be real, expecting a corporate entity to care about art or artists is a big ask
