On Oct. 14, about 75 homeowners in Wyandotte County, KS face losing their homes because of unpaid property taxes. The annual Tax Sale will recoup the debt by selling their homes (most paid off) to the highest bidder. KCK Neighbors Alliance and AIRR KC are working to pay off these debts. 🧵(1/3)

far from me to be over deterministic but one listens to this and struggles to think this is a coalition that can sustain itself. it is a spent force of history. It is by no means done inflicting immense damage but these groveling cries are the sound of a collapsing foundation.

Massive ICE raids in Liberal, Garden City, and Dodge City Kansas. For those who don't know, this is called the Golden Triangle of Kansas because +30% of all beef processing happens between these three cities whose populations (counties included) are majority minority. No one is really reporting it.

I am going to ask an absolutely fucking cursed question but what would be the least insane way to begin structuring an web application/service that will realistically start as a website, first, and then include (ideally) a web extension and a simple react-native mobile app.

I actually like vite and react-router but I suspect these things are not entirely compatible with react-native. I guess I could always privilege the web client as this stand-alone entity that is higher polish than the react-native app but this defeats the purpose of the app.
