BioWare created so many games that I love. I still feel that Mass Effect, despite an ending that I did not love, was one of the best examples of what narrative games could do. I loved every Dragon Age game, loved the lore, and the way each new entry tried something new. This is a very sad day.

The point used to be to make money so you could make more (and often better) games. Now the point is to make games to make more money. That is why EA sold out to the Saudis. That is why Microsoft bought every game studio it could get it grubby little paws on.

If there is a sickness in the games industry, and I would very much argue this is, this seem like the main cause. Companies really don't care about the game they are making beyond the point of it being able to extract funds from the gaming public.

The worst part is that I am not even surprised. The gutting of BioWare was inevitable since they were acquired by EA. EA has killed so many studios (Bullfrog and Westwood chief in my mind) because it case more about money than it does games.

Birthday weekend is jam packed. Tonight I am going to a Weird Al concert with one partner. Tomorrow is watching Wrestle Dream with another partner. And Desert Bus is coming next week. Whew.

Woke up to the new that PAC died and I'm just gutted. He was competing on Saturday, WTF!! My heart goes out to his friends and family. PAC was an amazing professional wrestler and from everything I've heard a dam good person.

I am very lucky to live in an area that is loaded with amazing local coffee shops, to the point I don't even know where a Starbucks is nearby, but I would rather drink a drip coffee from a gas station than to give one more cent to this organization.

The comedy we make at LRR… y'know, it could destroy civilization. It's simply SO funny, funnier than any human could conceive, it might be the end of all things. Obviously we're excited, but we also want to acknowledge that our comedy is simply too powerful and there is no choice but to submit.

They disinvented the VCR. You might think that the reason we don't have VCRs anymore is because VCRs were supplanted by DVDs, PVRs and streaming, but that's not the case. They had it in for the VCR from the very start, and they never stopped trying to kill it. Eventually, they succeeded. 1/

Democrat voters bent their backs electing Biden. Establishment dems didn’t protect abortion or hold Trump accountable for the Jan 6 riots. They didn’t push back on McConnell stealing a Supreme Court seat. They brought the CHIPS act to a gunfight. So yeah, folks are getting excited about DSA.
