We’re not here for a long time, we’re here for a good time. Democracy is not something we have, it’s something we do. Slava Ukraini! I will not give into the lies. I will not give into the fear. Understands nuance.

Lula has flipped the state of Amapa, which he lost to Jair Bolsonaro in the 2022 runoff by 3 percentage points. He will win it today; he is ahead by 6 percentage points with 99% of precincts reporting. He'd finished ahead by a hair in the first round, 45.7% to 45.7%.

Any politician who’s willing to throw away one group’s rights is willing to throw away everyone’s rights. It’s that simple. Every single consultant, pundit and candidate who’s shown a willingness to abandon trans rights needs to be shunned from the party forever

Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”

You asked AI for the cheapest flight. It dug through your emails, decided you could afford more, and suggested a ticket costing $100–$200 extra. Lindsay Owens explains ⬇️

We acknowledge that no one has the bandwidth for this, but if it helps: -It’s ‘sleight of hand’ -It’s ‘bated breath’ -It’s ‘lo and behold’ -It's 'buck naked' -It’s ‘brass tacks’ -It’s ‘free rein’ -It’s ‘toe the line'

This is likely the most important piece ever published in The New Republic - it is not about the funding per se, it is about who is leading us to the demise of democracy and why. Spoiler: its the consultants and cash.

newrepublic.comHow the Consulting Class Is Eating the Democratic PartyFundraising costs gobble up most of the funds raised. Billions are spent on TV ads that have virtually no impact. Candidates may win or lose—but the consulting class always wins.

Still covering Elon Musk as a business mogul and not foregrounding his murderous white nationalist politics is like doing a piece on only the clown career of John Wayne Gacy.

DON’T BE AFRAID, BE PREPARED. AG Todd Blanche was asked a simple question: Will the DOJ try to block states from certifying election results? He couldn’t give a simple NO. Instead, he left the door open to hypothetical scenarios. @marcelias.bsky.social

Trump set up a whistleblower hotline to catch fraud, and America immediately understood the assignment: flooding it with reports on Trump, his family, and his entire cabinet. Huge shoutout to everyone doing their patriotic duty by reporting the actual criminals! 💅🔥

Ramaswamy has produced an attack ad weaponizing the rape of his opponent, Amy Acton, when she was 12 years old. It features Acton’s mother, who abandoned Acton after she was raped by her step-father, fleeing the state with her husband. Here is the corporate money helping fund that ad.

we're going to need a long-term plan, with broad political appeal, for ending impunity & holding the trump administration accountable for its crimes, malfeasance & cruelties. not 'tit-for-tat' but an american version of transitional justice. my take in @slate.com 👇

I think this explains in the language of econ what @tressiemcphd.bsky.social has been arguing in the language of sociology, but which many people deny because it doesn't show up in the charts. People grasp how vulnerable they are to life's vagaries, even if the lexicon they use is affordability.

4) TPUSA tested our site yesterday (my opinion - they wore a TPUSA logo shirt) to see if a poll worker (not me) would register then when clearly were not eligible (out of state address/ID). They were declined.

Trump has a new scheme to bribe farmers in swing states with welfare checks of taxpayer money because fuel has gone up so much because of his war. But only money for them, not for anyone else in the country. No, we have to keep paying higher prices AND we pay Trump’s voters.

When a fed'l judge does her job, insisting that the govt follow the same rules as everyone else & the president attacks her personally, it’s a sobering moment. You’ll want to read Judge Reyes’ final comments today in court. I wrote about it here: joycevance.substack.com/p/this-is-no...

joycevance.substack.com“This Is Not What the Founders Envisioned”As his lawyers prepared to return to court this morning in the legal battle over the East Potomac links, Donald Trump was up early, posting on Truth Social about U.S.

The most remarkable thing is that Jan Crawford, chief legal correspondent for CBS News, thought that El-Sayed explaining the importance of freedom of religion in the Constitution *proved Tommy's point*, which was that El-Sayed is a terrorist sympathizer. Because he believes in THE CONSTITUTION

Qasim Rashid, Esq.@qasimrashid.com

Jan is a chief CBS reporter. She tweeted this about Tommy, the Republican operative accusing Abdul El-Sayed of terrorism, then deleted it. Zero questions about Tommy declaring he wants the Bible to supersede the Constitution. We need independent media. Join: www.qasimrashid.com/subscribe
