Liberal, conservative, social democrat, neoliberal, fascist all the same thing. They are the bourgeoisie in stages of conflict with the proletariat The liberal is the propagandist deluding the prol into accepting the unequal status quo an equality The conservative romanticizes the class hierarchy

the midterm strategy for the dem party seems to be ratfucking their leftish candidates and promoting their fascist ones in order to obtain as few seats as possible, thereby maintaining what they believe is plausible deniability for not doing shit

Dems: Less than a month from midterms… would be a real dick move to throw a minority group under the bus and piss off my base.

Bolsonaro-friendly mayors appear to be sabotaging public transport on Election Day. Buses aren’t running in Lula-friendly areas, flights and ferries mysteriously canceled. Traffic lights have gone out and people’s power cut in Salvador, indigenous people’s travel restricted

Throwing one member of your coalition under the bus to appease another group that is not going to vote for you anyways is not “coalition building” you fucking dumbass!

Jonathan Bernstein@jonathanbernstein.bsky.social

Last point: I absolutely get why this is, let's say, distasteful. Coalition politics is painful. It requires compromise. It requires supporting dubious allies and their dubious causes - and working with people who think your righteous cause is dubious. But it's how winning works in democracies.

Palestinians: one of the only groups of people on earth to be genocided and displaced by an invasive settler-colonial force and then be blamed as the aggressors in the global media.

I am incredibly tired of the brain dead assumption anti-trans dems are doing some quintuple d chess maneuvering by agreeing with fascists and stirring up infighting within their own political coalition.

Liberals always argue that progress must be slow. We shouldn't listen to them.

"Online Rent-a-Sage" Bret Devereaux@bretdevereaux.bsky.social

Actually, positive change is slow, difficult and incremental by nature. Destroying is fast, building is slow. It is easy to bring misery to people - any idiot can do it, as Trump shows - but very hard to improve their conditions. Building a better society is slow, careful, patient work.

there’s no such thing as “strategic bigotry.” I know this because there is no amount of money you could pay me to become a bigot. the democrats who do this agree to do it because they’re bigots

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

I’ve seen a lot this week and I’ll have more to say about in the coming days (I’m on my way home shortly). There is a path to ending this excruciating cycle of violence. It starts by insisting that every life is sacred, that everyone is created in God’s image.

Trump didn't like Ramaswamy until he saw him sticking up for child rapists and their enablers. He hated the Ivy League until Cornell had a prominent fraternity gang-rape story in the news. He's not just a rapist, not just a serial rapist—he's a rape *enthusiast,* and it's why Republicans love him.

The DCCC coordinating on this is truly a vile turn. Just a complete abdication of basic morality and an unequivocal endorsement of fascism.

Christopher Street Project@christopherstreet.bsky.social

We all know what “protect girls’ sports” means in the 2026 election cycle. DCCC coordinating on an ad using that language is unacceptable, and it gives other campaigns permission to follow. This is an inappropriate use of party resources. (1/3) www.erininthemorning.com/p/dccc-relea...
