I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day. certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

as my fellow Teen Voguers come over here I’ll be sharing their accounts, throw them a follow, offer them work, and we’ll be launching a gofundme/something similar soon!

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members. At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

Your comment perfectly illustrates how important the political coverage was in Teen Vogue. I'm probably your grandmother's age. And I'll be watching along with you for those reporters to be hired elsewhere or (maybe better yet) to set up their own platform -- a Substack I'd pay to subscribe to!

another Teen Voguer here, come show our brilliant culture editor Kaitlyn love!!

I was laid off from Teen Vogue yesterday, along with 70% of my incredible team. @teenvogue.com Thank you to everyone who has reached out. I am so grateful. For nearly 4yrs as Culture Editor, I was dedicated to humanizing and empowering young people. We move.❤️‍🩹🚀 Cash App: $kmcnab Venmo: @/kaitmcnab

The owner gave to Kamala but this is a natural response to pressure from an oppressive regime run by a dude being supported by a party that doesn't deserve to exist after this. Their ideas refuse evolution in society & aren't reliant enough on science to get us HEALTHY & ALIVE through modern times.🤯

Sounds like we need to start cancelling subscriptions for Teen Vogue, owned by Condé Nast. The publication's parent company is owned by Advance Publications.Condé Nast also owns brands like Vogue, GQ, and The New Yorker.Advance Publications: The ultimate owner of Condé Nast.

I'd make some joke about teen Vogue being on the forefront of politics reporting but y'all are and this fucking sucks. The Newhouse family should have their obscene wealth, built on your labor, taken from them and redistributed to the workers they're fucking over.

This is what worries me much more than Trump’s daily brain farts - corporate media and social media surrendering to fascism at the slightest provocation. We need to flock from these corrupted outlets to independent media ASAP.

I just don’t see the end game for them? Bankrupt everyone, unable to afford your product. Or hate them so much that you boycott their product. I know some just want the end of times but most are just money grubbing SOBs. Whose money are they going to grub if there’s no money to be grubbed?

They are not surrendering....they are willingly joining because they are owned by the oligarchs and the facists will keep their taxes low and let them use and abuse the citizens and the planet!

I know Teen Vogue had really good political articles. I really appreciated reading articles written by younger folks to get a younger viewpoint on different issues. I‘m sad to hear they laid off the political writers. I wish you the best in your next endeavor. Hopefully you can find something.🤞❤️

This is shitty news. Y’all have been killing with political topics. It’s been wonderful reading your coverage and knowing young ppl are getting quality news from you. I’m so sorry.

WHAT?! You did incredible work there. I sent your explainer on Trump's EO attempting to end gender-affirming care for trans youth to all my students last winter as a pack of resources, since it was so clearly written and informative. I am so sorry to hear this.

you know this industry is failing when it lets someone like you go. sorry to hear this, but i cannot wait to see where you head next. sending you love!

That's truly a shame, there were some brilliant political pieces to come out of Teen Vogue. I'm so sorry to hear this, for you, for those that won't have the access to what you provided, for the rest of us who are seeing another segment of education fall away.

My niece reads teen vogue for the political articles, she’s not much into the fashion or makeup. Wondering if there is another journalistic outlet writing politics for teens that I can seek out for her.

My spouse and I were just discussing Teen Vogue and the fact that's it's one of the few mainstream publications doing investigative journalism that hadn't bent the knee to the Trump regime. Sadly, we may have been premature. I'm so sorry for all of the journalists who've lost their jobs today.

They don’t want teens to think critically, have political views, question their leaders and demand a better future. Such a disgrace! I’m sorry this happened to you and your colleagues. You should definitely start a podcast or a Substack so your readers can find you! Young voices are needed!!!

Wow. Too bad because they were actually making a comeback with the political journalism they have been publishing. Sorry to hear. hope you all can unite and find a new outlet to keep the public informed!

Chloe Malle—the new Head of Editorial Content for American Vogue— is the daughter of Candace Bergen and Louis Malle. The nepotism escalator remains functional. But democracy? Not so much. Teens deserve better.

“On November 3, 2025, it was announced that Teen Vogue would be merged into the main site of Vogue (under the same parent company Condé Nast).”

@teenvogue was regularly crushing its political reporting. That’s why it had to lay off all its political writers and be absorbed back into Old People Vogue (derogatory) and Condé Nast. The regime demands silent compliance. @RollingStone writers, watch your backs.
