"The Biography of Hermann the Dalmatian" That's a title which instantly grabs my attention. If you want to be legendary, get a cool sounding name.

I just came across a method to get google gemini to overload the system it's running on. That shouldn't be possible. I stopped it in time because I could see what was coming. I wonder if they give out bounties?

This issue causes a memory overload which builds up rapidly until it causes a system crash/restart. And because it's generated by google, it would be unlikely to cause an alert as a "suspicious site". It could be loaded as a popunder and wallop, unsaved work gone.

But if I tell them what it is then they'll probably stop the system from generating any code which comes near to that problem. Which would be kicking myself in the shins.

The 7th of October 1991 might not seem much of an important date to you, but it marked the change in video quality of Brookside. It was episode 1003. Why not episode 1000? Because somewhere along the line there was a bastard who caused a delay.

While my site's offline I'm using some time to take frames from Digger videos and giving them an oil painting effect. I'll add these to the site when it's back. You'd be surprised how little art there is about DIGGERS.

This audiobook of 36 half hour lectures doesn't stop being interesting. The sort of facts you'll be able to keep in your quiver for the next time some bastard is talking out of their arse.

Forza Horizon 2, running at 1440p and 60fps. It's like a brand new game, but it's from 2014. Now we don't need the Xbox One cracked, we just need the exclusives recompiled. Lovely stuff.

If they showed listener numbers to these, how many do you reckon would get over 5000 per show? Maybe Chris Evans. 90% of podcasts are pish and mirrors.

Been listening whilst tidying up some work this afternoon. Vaguely remember the original Alan Turing Prom but the reworking LP is an *incredible* piece of work, really stops you in your tracks. Outstanding radio via @stuartmaconie.bsky.social. Very highly recommended. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/...

Looks like my website is finally coming back. It tells me to get lost rather than nothing at all. Because that company did have government sites, I think they might have got early notice about this PHP issue and shut everything down until it was fixed. But why not tell us?

I first played Rygar in the San Remo (Glasgow) arcade in 1986. As a game it still holds up. I also played APB and Road Blasters in there. It was pretty shady, but they had the good games.
