More people would believe in telepathy if they learned about quantum entanglement. Spooky action at a distance is more real than support for fascists all day every day.

So the polling indicates a 28-38% belief or support of recreating the telepathic ghost ballroom situation from The Shining at the white house? I think I might be on board with that scenario as well.

Do you think ghosts ever have boomer moments like "kids these days don't wanna scare tourists out of otherwise abandoned buildings they just wanna be on their phones"

Funny, yesterday I was reading Alan Turing's paper on his Turing Test and in it he expresses that he finds ESP plausible. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The lack of support is the point. They need to betray the MAGA audience so they can shift their devotion to a new god. Trump is dying, and the cultists will need a new leader. Next, Tucker is going to be, "asking questions," about a 2nd Amendment trying to incite another violent event

A bit besides the point, but one of the most distressing things for me over the last few years is that I've updated my anchored "10% of people are out of their minds" to "30% of people are out of their minds" You're telling me 29% of people believe in TELEPATHY?

The fact that the joke is not that 40% of Americans believe in ghosts proves beyond a doubt that Trump is the symptom, not the problem. Good bye USA, you were always trash.

Anecdotally, that perfectly fits my prejudices about how stupid the people I’m talking to are. Someone vociferously supporting the ballroom would def rank behind someone vociferously promulgating IRL ghost hunting or the scientific legitimacy of telepathy 🤔

Ghosts and telepathy cost $0 TAXDOLLARS. Ballroom will cost $4 billion dollars if it is approved, same as the 458 miles WALL 🧱 he said it will cost nothing to the US but it cost us $15 BILLION (23% of the total southern US border). #TRUMP #math #rapist #liar #ballroom

I mean I went to a public school (you won’t believe where) and got both non-propagandized history and civics. frankly of the two, civics was the more propaganda-like because of how idealistically it described the workings of government vs the reality of lobbying, consulting, etc.

I have to think this would be a very different world if even a small number of humans were capable of direct mind-to-mind communication. Then again, maybe it's like most unprovable fringe theories and happens so "rarely" that no one in all of human history has been able to demonstrate the ability.

Telepathy *is* real; but humans don't have the hardware. Anyway, there's a reason we never needed to invent languages. The concept was quite confusing, at first. Our first wave observers never realized that written and spoken language were the same language or that there are many languages in use.

I worked with a food scientist who believed in ghosts and thought Alaska was an island (because she had only seen the state on a map of the U.S. which had Alaska and Hawaii in separate boxes). She knew Hawaii was islands and thought Alaska was the same. Did I mention that she was a scientist?
