This is most likely going to be updated by your host, but if you have an old WordPress site running PHP7 (I have four, who I have been warning for YEARS about this potentially happening) you should log in and check your version under Dashboard > Site Health > Info tab.

Well, my nightmare was kicked off by this problem because I suddenly had to launch a site that wasn’t quite ready, but I spent hours just dealing with some weird FTP issue. Not PHP related at all!

Again, it's not just that this is appalling and indecent. It's that it reveals someone inhabiting a moral universe where even the concept of decency is so unfathomable and alien that it doesn't even occur to you to attempt a half-assed impression of how someone who isn't human garbage might react.

Trump: "Ramaswamy put up a very powerful Ad about a mother saying that her daughter, Acton, is a liar, and much worse. The Press is trying to get him to 'take down the Ad.' Frankly, anybody whose mother spoke about daughter that way would normally lead to the daughter being precluded from serving"

So, basically a J6er.

The man who killed Foster -- Daniel Perry -- was a far-right extremist who had posted racist memes online, openly fantasized about killing protests, and was grooming underage girls.

Shout out to my wife for putting up with my BS. She knows that my incompetence is genuine, not weaponized, and selective. Making dinner, doing dishes: I’m on it. Laundry: it will remain damp for too long and have to be rewashed. I use every ADHD trick in the book, but that one eludes me.

I have a Surface Pro 1 that was given to me by a client when they upgraded. This thing is about 13 years old now. I use it for networking setups so I don’t have to keep flipping the network settings on my laptop for configuration and testing. I use a Mac, and there are utilities only in Windows…

A totally out of the box Debian with Gnome. It works beautifully! I’m not pushing it or anything, just browser stuff, but it does all the rotations and the keyboard pops up when it’s supposed to. So I booted the Surface from it. Not good. From my research, I pretty much expected that. It sounds…

Like it just has a bunch of Microsoft proprietary stuff that isn’t well supported in Linux, which is understandable. So I’m leaving it Win10, which I actually liked as an OS. I’ll keep using it as long as I can open Hoopla in a browser and read comics. It really is a very nice piece of hardware.

The battery still works for a couple of hours on a charge. It’s just a really nice piece of hardware, though the keyboard is definitely showing its age. I also have the habit of installing Linux on everything old. I’ve given numerous devices a second life by doing so, it wipes the drive and…

I get an excuse to keep up on the latest Linux flavors and distros. I usually start with Mint as the easiest and most user friendly. I’ve been wanting to try Linux on the Surface, but my experience with touch screens has been iffy. I had a different touch screen HP (to be recycled) and tried…

My kid has started a Letterboxd list called Killer Sweaters for films where the killer wears a great sweater and they've asked me to throw it out to Bluesky for more because "that's the kind of thing those weirdos like to do"

Everyone’s mad at Danny Trejo for signing on to Ben Shapiro’s pro-ICE movie but now his son reveals how Shapiro’s team tricked an old man into doing this 😡

I just unsubbed from almost all of my Patreons, all of whom I’ve followed for years. It’s budgetary, not personal or political. I feel bad about it. They are great. They deserve money. But I just don’t access the extras. I wish them all the best. I’m hoping to be back!

One doesn’t get a lot of professional advice on Whoopie Cushions. Take it while you can!

Pro tip from a former joke shop manager: get the self-inflating one. It has foam inside so it automatically resets for the next victim.

Interface Design Frustration: When Apple Passwords says “use password,” it means instead of a fingerprint or Face ID. When Google Password Manager says “use password,” it means “use this saved password?” The most frustrating part is how long it took me to figure that out.

Wife is on overnight business trip. I am in my home office. Where are the dogs? Laying right in front of the front door. You know these things about your pets, but it still hurts when it’s so obvious who the favorite is.

I bought a Samsung T7 2GB portable SSD in April of 2025 at Best Buy. $187.99, sale price $149.99 Today’s price: $479.99, sale price $429.99 Amazon: $374.99

Awesome iOS update where I keep getting notifications for the Tips app on the latest updates, but all it ever does is give me a black screen with a spinner. Quality work.

Here is a guest on Tucker Carlson’s podcast saying that algebra is a conspiracy by the Jews to turn people into “good little goy slaves.” I wish I was joking.

I am at FunkyFrogBait: Internet kid. I am over 50. These are definitely my people, but they are a totally different generation. By, like a couple generations.

` 60+ Cherry Trees were cut down in DC to make way for a golf course for Trump. This act violated a court order. They did it anyway because the law doesn’t apply to this administration. These trees were gifted to the American people by Japan in 1912. More destruction by a criminal government.

Comic from January 2025 about how Israel, and communal support for the indefensible, are the greatest engines of antisemitism in modern history. Democrats reading their fascist talking points, trivializing antisemitism, and spreading defamatory lies are a danger to American Jews.

folks SAY they want kindness but this is not always the case. the most controversial thing that i ever post is 'the best way to make inroads in any creative profession is to be kind'. i get SO much pushback, because it is a scary idea for those who have trained themselves to be unkind as a defense

my wife has a friend who sent Dolly Parton a painting she made & a letter explaining how much Dolly's music meant to her while she was transitioning. Dolly responded to it personally & paid for her top surgery. Sounds like an urban legend but it's real. I think we're going to more stories like this.

Just finished Masters of the Universe. It was aiming for a Flash-like camp, right? Not that it hit it, but that’s what it seemed to be aiming for.

I know they're all gaslighting liars, but it's remarkable how thoroughly the "cancel culture" myth redefined "censorship" to mean "someone using their free speech to criticize me." Meanwhile, actual censorship is just fine for all these people.

I disagree. It’s horny, but the horny part keeps to itself. It’s there if you want it, but not in your face of you don’t.

Boo!-per Lund@cooperlund.online

To split the baby in half here: Bluesky is horny, but not in a hot way. There’s a horny part of Bluesky but it’s offputting and most people try to ignore it, like a swinger’s resort in Florida that’s next to a retirement community.

This guy is using a mini projector in the subway ceiling for Japanese TV and I’m gonna be honest this is a wild innovation in the science of watching shit on your phone. Everyone is into it.
