It's always wild to me when white people seem to look back at the civil rights movement and come to the conclusion that Black people in America were perfectly okay not having rights until the timing worked out.

There is no serious opposition to ICE that isn't also police and prison abolitionist. If you're a leftist who is polyannaish about cops, talking about how 'defund the police' is too extreme or whatever, you are playing into ICE's hands.

Why do local law enforcement want to carry out ICE's dirty work in their own communities so badly? Well, because contracts with ICE are lucrative and yet another way for greedy sheriffs to line their pockets off mass incarceration.

In court documents, Ryan said he no longer has the phone he's been using, because his spouse traded it in the same day a judge barred him from deleting records. He says nothing was lost.

Excellent reality check. I think it's legit to argue that having the Blazers here has real cultural and vibes value (the Oregonian editorial board did just this), but the fiscal case is marginal at best.

Not liking police is a solid opinion and one I endorse Green on. PPA is insane to think cop hating is a disqualification these days.
