"Journalists often use the words 'unsubstantiated' or 'uncorroberated' when referring to the allegations victims have levied against powerful men, like Trump. Instead of saying these womenβs accounts are not corroborated, maybe itβs time we say they were not investigated in spite of clear patterns."
Hey I think I've found one of those illegal immigrants everyone is so up in arms about
We all knew that Vance was merely biding his time until he could assume his final, most terrifying form
Just kidding, we knew Vance never really had the juice in the first place

Just a reminder that there is no good data to support these uses in K12, we are just testing it live all on kids who wonβt ever be these ages again and canβt get them back if we fuck it up.
"AI can draft an essay for you, especially if you give it a high quality prompt." Really? This is what MIT thinks high schoolers should learn? MIT's "Day of AI" dayofai.org provides materials for K-12 teachers and claims to have reached over 5,000,000 students to date. 1/2

Nothing about this currently on the homepage of the NYT; a brief article appears elsewhere. The Washington Post hasn't run anything at all. bsky.app/profile/mari...
Will anyoneβanyone at allβask Trump about the rape allegations published in an official report by the House Judiciary Democrats? Or will he continue to escape accountability for his violence?

A better link, as it is from the authors: "Individuals with the most negative views of women and gender equality are the most likely to support [transgender sports] bans."

IMHO this is a very, very thoughtful and careful argument about how to respond to the anti-trans wing of the Democratic Party. The current regime has pretty much turned me into a yellow-dog Democrat, but I think I agree with this: go to the polls, vote for Democrats -- just not for these four.
The elections are on next Tuesday, and so much is at stake, including the soul of the Democratic Party when it comes to transgender people. I am asking you to leave a very small number of races blank in which a Democrat has embraced extreme anti-trans hate. I make my case here.

Iβm not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Donβt share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

This drives me CRAZY. I grew up playing sports w/ boys. I played on a U12 boys select soccer team, b4 switching to a U12 girls team that kept beating us. Nobody had any issue with any of it. Youth sports have never had the strict sex/gender boundaries that βXX-XYβ activists are now trying to defend.
I live in a rural town and, like, I don't know how to tell you this, but the girls play on the boys team and vice versa all the time because otherwise we don't have enough players for a game and it's literally always fine so stop being weirdos about kids sports and just let trans kids play.

This seems like a big deal
not all heroes wear capes
thinking fondly again of the college girl at the donut place, who made a little muslim boy bounce giddily out the door after she told him his donut was free, and who waved me away and said "you're good" when it was my turn to pay and then, when asked if there was a deal that day said "i hate my job"

Crossword puzzles are much, much better than they were in the 1980s or even the 1990s. Editors really moved away from a traditional model of relying on arcane cultural knowledge and obscure vocabulary to emphasizing newer pop culture and fresh wordplay.
Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But whatβs something that youβve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

This is important. If you're following accounts that do all of these things, I highly recommend unfollowing them. They're just follow farmers who are spreading disinfo.
A few other signs of deactivist accounts: Posts lots of screenshoted quotes without links/citation Posts "news" without links Doesn't use alt text Seldom posts any link to anything other than their own substack/website/newsletter Does not acknowledge/correct/delete when they post false info

It's been over 10 years since the "detransition wave" was just around the corner. it is tremendously effective cope for the phobes.
Every year transphobes say the wave of detransitions will begin any day now, and every year the number of detransitioners who will work with them, worldwide, remains in the low to mid countable-on-one-hand
