This appeared in my feed at the same time as the announcement of Walter Koenig's death. He played Chekov in the original Star Trek.

Even without attending to the fact that degree apprenticeships are more expensive for universities to deliver than degrees (a key component ignored here), turns out they're more problematic for employers and employees than the hype suggests. Fix the HE system. giftarticle.ft.com/giftarticle/...

I had not realised that Michel Foucault and Winnie-the-Pooh were practically the same age: Winnie-the-Pooh was first published by Methuen on 14 October 1926, and Michel Foucault was born in Poitiers on the following day.

Go to your camera roll and search 'boat'. Well, I've no idea how to do that, but here's a recent picture of the Ever Given, the ship that ended up cattywumpus in the Suez Canal. Saw it in Hamburg. Best celebrity spotting ever!

Go to your camera roll and search “boat” and post one that you like. Boat day here! Boats wrapped for winter in Constitution Marina, Boston.

There's nothing that can rankle people like giving a place the wrong name. My neighbourhood is Fitzrovia, not "Fitzrovia Quarter" or "Noho" or however some pinheads want to brand it. They're calling it "our neighbourhood" but I don't feel part of that "our". fitzroviaquarter.co.uk

fitzroviaquarter.co.ukFitzrovia Quarter - Discover Our NeighbourhoodWelcome to Fitzrovia Quarter - a thriving neighbourhood in Fitzrovia, where London’s artistic heritage meets West End charm with a mix of shopping, restaurants and culture.

In all fairness, the term "quarter" was, at one point (before the estate agents and landed gentry got hold of it), acceptable to use. Here is my copy of "London's Old Latin Quarter" (1930), about eastern Fitzrovia by E. Beresford Chancellor.

Whether you support Lula or not, this is another example of why to boycott Meta. Don't use their products. They are manipulating people.
