New in querychat: multiple tables, chat history, data-dict, and easy extraction of findings into Quarto, Shiny, Jupyter, etc. querychat is now much more capable beyond just querying "pre-defined" Shiny outputs. Available for both #rstats and #python. opensource.posit.co/blog/2026-09...

๐We were exceptionally lucky at Statistics Denmark to have @thomasp85.com giving a thorough {ggsql} intro, with a focus on motivation and the theoretical foundations ๐ฃ: In the era of LLMs, READABILITY of the code is essential for humans; SQL tops here ๐ ๐ slides: thomasp85.github.io/2026_ggsql_4...
As announced at posit::conf(2026) #ggsql is now, with the release of version 0.5.0, in Beta. I'm so excited for the future of this project. Read all about what the latest version brings you in the release post
One of my greatest joys of the #rstats language is that it comes with both a runif() and stopifnot() function
This is the week in my intro data science course where students learn that runif() is said r-unif not run-if, & they are like "duh" but no one had ever said it out loud before so they didn't know. Def read/watch more about this from @amelia.mn & of course @felienne.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy, linksโฌ๏ธ
Also, if you want to talk ggsql in any shape or form, come by during a break and Iโll be happy to chat
Iโll be presenting our work on #ggsql today at #PositConf2026 It will be lovely and whimsical and I hope youโll join both if your are new to ggsql or have been following along since the spring
