What is the BBC's justification for maintaining this level of coverage of Reform now it has slipped into third place?

Alex Andreou@sturdyalex.bsky.social

BBC News just interrupted its coverage to go, live, to Nigel Farage - a man with no contitutional standing in our setup - responding to the budget - a document which nobody has seen yet. WHY

on October 14, a black bear entered the Mammoth Lakes Library at 6 am. it was the 100th anniversary of the publication of Winnie-the-Pooh. the bear went directly to the employees' food supplies. i know what you're thinking. the answer is yes. he ate a pot of honey. this was a pilgrimage.

facebook.com385K views · 119 reactions | On the very day the world marks 100 years since A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh was first published, a black bear made its way inside the Mammoth Lakes Library branch of the Mono County Free Libraries before opening hours — and, in a tribute no one asked for, went straight for the honey. Director of Libraries, Josef Bopp, shared that the bear entered the library at approximately 6:10 a.m, well before public opening at 10:00am. Upon entering, the bear went straight for the staff snack supply, where it helped itself to peanut butter, a selection of peach cups, a pawful of cookies and — of course — one jar of honey. Satiated, the bear then took a full tour of the library, perusing the new releases and inspecting the reference desk before, evidently content with its visit, letting itself out and departing for the day. Remarkably, no damage was reported. No shelves were toppled and no books were harmed, though the honey jar has not been returned at time of publication. “While we love an enthusiastic patron, and we understand the excitement of the centennial,” said Bopp, “we do remind patrons- and perhaps more importantly our bears- that snacks are not part of the circulating collection.” Winnie-the-Pooh was first published on October 14, 1926, introducing readers to a “Bear of Very Little Brain” with a very large appetite for honey. One hundred years later, the timing of the curious bears visit seems more than a coincidence. The library invites the community (human members only) to celebrate the centennial by visiting any of the seven #library of the #monocounty Free Libraries for a copy of Winnie-the-Pooh, or related bear titles! *On A Serious Note* Pooh may be cuddly, but #mammothlakes bears are wild. Residents and visitors are reminded to: • Keep a safe distance and never approach or feed a bear • Use bear-resistant trash containers and keep car doors and windows closed • Report bear encounters to Mammoth Lakes Police 760-932-7549, option 7. Or 911 in an emergency. As Pooh himself might say, it’s best to think, think, think before getting t | Mono County Free LibrariesOn the very day the world marks 100 years since A.A. Four sources identify Elon Musk as personally proposing Starshield restrictions to Trump, while three officials trace the order to the White House. Ukraine received no warning. Its interceptor drones were disrupted as Russia launched hundreds of drones and dozens of ballistic missiles.

Anonymous@youranoncentral.bsky.social

Elon Musk reportedly proposed restrictions that crippled Ukraine’s Starshield drone defences during Russian attacks. Other sources traced the order to the White House. The deliberate slowdown raises questions about possible sabotage of Ukraine’s defences.

so restricting Ukraine's Starlink was Musk's idea, but after Moscow took advantage he became "alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe" to the "night of carnage" and denied responsibility I mean, it sounds like typical Elon

What did Ukraine actually do wrong? Russia targeted Ukrainian energy for years. Ukraine finally hit back. Trump announced he wanted Russian oil and declared an energy ceasefire before it has been agreed. Ukraine abided by it. Russia did not. And for that, the US sabotages Ukrainian operations.

It's legitimate for the EU, the UK, Canada and others to support their Ukrainian ally. If Musk is going to (in effect) assist Putin's invasion of Ukraine, Ukraine's allies should sanction Starlink, X and Tesla. At the very least, governments (and people) should stop using his fucking site already.
