Many of you need to read “The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions”. If you ain’t got time for that, read this skeet.

Saint JESSICA DUNN ROVINELLI@jdrllc.bsky.social

we're not going to win by telling other trans people 'we're all going to be forced to detransition or die.' we're not going to win by insisting that there be 'no parties or sex until after the revolution.' we will not win by fear and shame. we win by doing that which keeps us alive

I know we all love to be macho about this but here is your permission not to have to: If you’re cold, you can turn on the heat. My heat is on. It’s fine

I think we underestimate the appeal of antigambling politics because every problem gambler is surrounded by 3-10 people who are absolutely sick of their shit.

we stopped at longfellow school, which was slated to close in all 3 of MPS’ transformation plans, and christin crabtree explained why it is special, how it serves teen parents & keeps them in school “this kind of school is transformational in itself and should’ve never been slated for closure.”

one of the best things about polyamory is that you don't have to predefine what a connection with someone else can be. you can let it take the shape it wants to take and allow it to give everyone joy. structure can be descriptive instead of prescriptive

We literally have the largest bike-touring event in the world which has been an annual summer state tradition for FIFTY YEARS. There's a giant exhibit in the state historical museum about it. This is comical.

Joe Mitchell: "Thank God you're building the ballroom. Thank God you're getting rid of those awful bike lanes. We don't ride bicycles in Iowa."

One big problem for us open source maintainers is that it’s a super fuzzer whose output actively tries to convince the reader that every finding is a super important critical vulnerability that must be addressed immediately. People believe what they read and try to convince us of it, too.

Because apparently this needs to be said: if you’re part of a coordinated disclosure process the appropriate thing to do is to talk to the rest of the group before you make unilateral decisions because the process is *coordinated*. It’s right there in the name Don’t agree to that? Don’t be in one

Why does this airplane keep trying to show me some movie called "Disclosure Day"? We've all seen that enough this week

As far as I can tell, the AWS Lightsail blueprints for WordPress are still not updated, and they are not self-servicable within the instance. Is this correct? I cannot find any information on when (or if) AWS plans to update the WordPress blueprints they provide.

I left X *because* I had a large following. People told me I was the reason they were staying on there, and I didn’t want to be responsible for 100k+ people sticking around for abuse, CSAM, and Nazis. Simple as that

I left x despite having a large following bc I don’t want to make free content for the world’s wealthiest racist. It’s not worth it to me.

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

Tabitha Sable reposted

This raid is an abuse of power. The use of federal law enforcement against a sitting member of Congress on the eve of an election is unprecedented and unacceptable.🧵

Donald Trump is going after his political opponents. The raid targeting Congresswoman Ilhan Omar is an abuse of power. Last week, Trump attempted to incite a race war against the Somali community, and today he’s abusing his power by going after our congresswoman. Jason Chavez

Halloween idea: put a bucket of whistles out for the parents along with the trick or treat candy for the kids. It’s dangerous to go alone; take this!

Courtney Milan@courtneymilan.com

In case you missed it last night: we are seeing reports all over the country of immigration surges and state violence. If you need whistles for your community, we will send you 100-3000 3d printed for free, and we will love doing it. 3dwhistles.com

From Minneapolis to y'all: Three quick bursts if you see ICE. Long loud blasts if they're actively detaining someone. Form a crowd, stick together, and film everything.

People in California who are facing a terrible ICE surge: remember that if you need whistles, we are still sending them out for free. In fact, we just passed 1.7 million whistles sent out. linktr.ee/3Dwhistles

Here’s a thing about LLM code generation that people haven’t mentioned much, even in theory: The thought that open source projects might either close their source or make the bar for contribution significantly higher due to the onslaught of vibe-coded submissions.
