I just want to name that people overcame this. Even against a stacked deck, the good fight is worth it. Win or lose, it's worth it. And sometimes the good guys win.

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.

www.wedgewood.com/recall-lookup/ You can look up your pet’s specific medication using the information on the label. This looks like it affects just about every pet med compounded since February— the concern is testing inconsistencies which may have led to too little potency or too much potency.

The Republican Party has become so utterly fucking vile I hardly even know what to say any more. If you support this kind of shit, you're just a bad person and should feel bad about yourself. I don't know whether that's "helpful messaging" but it's the truth.

since California ballots are now out: prop 40 is the billionaire tax, and you should vote yes to stick it to them but both props 41 and 42 are designed to retroactively cancel the billionaire tax because they’re afraid they can’t beat it at the ballot box yes on 40, no on 41 and 42

The people who closed the Academy of Natural Sciences Public Museum want all of us to get over it and stop talking about it. But we aren't going to do that. Philly kids deserve a world class natural history museum. It’s our job to get it back for them. Take these actions today.

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

KITTEN ADOPTION KLAXON Gravy needs a home in the Baltimore/DC area ASAP, preferably one with other young cats. After the sudden death of her only sister, she really craves playtime with other kittens. Gravy is fully vaccinated and spayed, cuddly and playful, and learns what is ok and not ok fast.

Some of the escalations we're seeing, including the attack on Ilhan Omar's home (I will not pretend this act was "investigatory"), are desperate acts. But we must remember that desperate people can be very dangerous. A domestic abuse victim, for example, is in the most danger when trying to leave.

There are a lot of decent people doing good work right now, and hope is breaking through. As a result, our enemies are thrashing about and lashing out in extremely dangerous ways. We must be alert and aware and resist overwhelm and panic. Where can you contribute?

This is Nazi rhetoric, full stop. It's not only a call to instigate a race war in the United States, but it's reminiscent of historic European justifications used to incite pogroms against Jews. People who say things like this are incredibly dangerous, as there is nothing they won't eventually do.

As the Evils of the Failed Artist is on everybody’s minds, I just wanna stress that failed artists are fail at it because they want to be adored instead of just being weird little freaks who cannot help making the shit they feel uncontrollably compelled to make

Here is a petition to speak against closing the Sternberg Museum. Since this is a state level issue, any residents of Kansas will have the most impact calling their state representatives. (Though this museum’s closure will certainly be felt outside of Kansas) www.change.org/p/save-the-s...

When I say Democrats are fighting for a future for America's children this is what I mean. You might not have heard about it but the Sternberg is one of the most illustrious centers of paleontology in the United States. It needs to be available for the public to appreciate.

Thanks to several people for the sign idea for reaching Eddie Kingston at tomorrow’s Ego Pro Wrestling show. 🤼‍♂️

That said, the fact that there is so much interest makes me feel like I should mention them at least a little. This thread in no way can stand in place of working with a sensitivity consultant with lived experience! Here is a brief, nonexhaustive list of harmful disability tropes in fiction.
