Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit treating Deshaun Watson like any other QB, and nary a mention of two dozen sexual assault allegations as part of an already disgusting “redemption” arc they’ve spent all night trying to weave is really gross.

We've just completely given up on antitrust as a thing. Wild.

I hope you read this one. I wanted to capture how…angry I am about this one and dug a little bit harder into how it isn’t treated by too much of our media and politics like the scandal it is Lying a nation into a destructive, pointless war with no end in sight is supposed to be considered a scandal

If Trumpism wasn't the logical endpoint of Reagan / Bush, it would not have done nearly as much damage, because it would have been halted by all those federal judges and justices who came of age under (or were literally appointed by) Reagan / Bush. Instead, they happily accelerated it.

This month’s @economist.com. The answer is yes. Yes you should be afraid of Elon Musk. Regardless of where you are and how secure you might feel. He has power and resources that are not well constrained through policy or law.

Would assume everyone knows it by now, but just in case "First the traitors, then the invaders" is an explicit reference to The Turner Diaries, where a white supremacist revolution overruns "The System" and kills all their enemy during the evocatively named "Day of the Rope".

X owner Elon Musk indicates he would prioritise political violence (assassination of pro-migration politicians is the common sense meaning) over violence against "invaders" (refugees, asylum seekers, maybe ethnic minorities generally) while endorsing call for violence (killing) against both groups

This whole Graham Planter moment highlights how AIPAC’s influence on American politics extends beyond its championing of awful candidates over good ones, but corrupts all trust in campaign discourse. He dropped out as he should but the comment sections are full of folks who believe he’s framed.

The antisemitism I’m seeing about Brad Lander today is wild. Unfollowing people I’ve followed for years who’ve lost their minds, saying he’s the wrong type of Jew and somehow all the Jews who voted for him were tricked into it. Some real bad shit from a lot of “we’re the normal ones” Democrats.
