I hear this from so many folks in Berkeley and Oakland, and I’m so happy they have a back up when buses are canceled. But we must improve AC Transit reliability for everyone in cities without bike share and those who can’t use it, including kids. Elect @valencia4actransit.bsky.social.

had a similar experience in the east bay a few nights ago with AC Transit so unreliable, I’m relying a lot more on e-bikeshare

I'd say that more suburban sprawl is in fact one of the intended consequences of Prop 45. Vote no!

Fulton between Bancroft and Durant is functioning just fine as a one-way. Let’s shift the cycle track on the other side into the singular northbound travel lane and widen the sidewalk to accommodate the 1600 new residents.

We love Sunset Dunes, and we know you do too! Join us this ✨Thursday, October 22✨ to talk to voters at the Mission Farmer's Market about saving our coastal park and voting no on measure G! RSVP: luma.com/jfhfaobl

Texas has the “Texas Donut”: an apartment complex surrounding a huge parking garage. In the future, the “California Donut” might be apartment towers surrounding five-over-ones we built that *should have been* towers around a major transit stop.

After voting, YIMBY Action leads couldn't reach a consensus on Prop 45, and won't be making an endorsement! This means that not a single YIMBY org in California is endorsing the measure (with one opposed). CEQA "reform" for sprawl & freeways is bad! Glad most of us recognize this. No on 45!

People will look at you in the eyes and tell you speeding isn’t a big enough problem to justify cameras.

A walkable SF depends on frequent, reliable public transit. That’s why we need to vote YES on Measures H & RTM! If we don’t pass both measures on Nov. 3, transit service will be gutted. We CAN’T let this happen. Being able to get around on foot + transit = essential for SF.

At Oregon and Shattuck, car after car passed stopped drivers on the right at high speed. This is one of the most dangerous driving maneuvers and demands physical daylighting infrastructure in this corner, not just paint.

i had company for day 2, we rode up Mt Madonna (average 9% grade fully loaded was pretty cool), and now we’re on VTA 68 from Morgan Hill to Diridon will probably solo bikepack some more, and the new brighton state beach site is fantastic - $5 bike-in site, tons of space

Joel Young is at a rail transit conference in Europe tonight (AC Transit has 0 railroads) and I am in Oakland waiting for a bus that has been 0 minutes away for 10 minutes

Heads up, tonight‘s board meeting has been canceled for lack of quorum. This is the first time this has happened in my 6 years on the board. 2 board members were calling in from Europe, one member planned to call in for safety reasons, and Young was planning to be absent.

The AC Transit Board has refused to hold Director Young accountable so let’s make some noise and urge them to censure him. Join me to make public comment at the AC Transit Board meeting tomorrow, Wednesday at 5 pm, 1600 Franklin St, Oakland or on Zoom: actransit.legistar.com/MeetingDetai...

AC Transit and Director Joel Young thought they could sweep his harassment under the rug by hiding it and then lying about it. No way were we going to let that happen. Young isn’t fit for office, and since his colleagues won’t hold him accountable, voters must. www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/arti...

“If we are thinking about AI just in terms of how do we cure cancer or get better energy, you can do that without having agentic roaming free in the internet … Not because necessarily they're trying to do bad things, but because they've got to justify these valuations.“- Barack Obama ~ He gets it.

And entirely regardless of what happened, isn’t it A Bit Problematic for PDs to be editorializing in a social media post when fault has not been determined in a crash? This unfortunately very common

Joel Young has a long record of harassment and misconduct, which too many people have looked the other way on. Let's leave no room for harassers in the East Bay. Oakland and Alameda residents can vote him out November.

Some people think all that we work on at @bikeeastbay.bsky.social are protected bikeways, b/c that's what gets media attention. But we also obsess over the minute details of painted bike lanes, trails, & bike boulevards to get as much as possible out of every project.

I haven’t had covid cold/flu symptoms since like last Thursday, but the brain fog and fatigue are SO real still I’m functioning on like 50% do not recommend
