After talking with his buddy (boss) Putin, Trump has declared that Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil infrastructure are responsible for the increase in diesel prices. TOTAL BS. Trump's Iran war is the cause. Russian diesel exports are so heavily sanctioned that few nations buy them.

The US once had 17 military bases on Greenland, but has closed all but two. The decisions to close were 100% US decisions. Neither Greenland nor Denmark requested the closures. Luckily for Trump, he base is immune to reality. Hopefully for the rest of us, most American's aren't.

The accounting is in: In Oregon there are 111 data centers. The TOTAL number of people employed at data centers is just 2,630, or 0.1% of the labor force. Those 100 data centers consumer 23% of all electricity used in Oregon. Meanwhile, electricity rates skyrocket as more centers are built.

Again, absolutely wild that Republicans in Congress, so recently just spluttering mad about Hunter Biden, have decided that the most blatant corruption imaginable is in fact legal for this one guy
Donald Trump made nearly 29,000 securities trades in 17 months — more than every member of Congress combined. The stock-purchasing ban he’s pushing would leave him exempt

As Jeffrey Simpson wrote in The Friendly Dictatorship, they are the most ideological of all the parties, with an ideology that drives them to do anything to get elected. That makes them Canada's natural governing party.
Gotta hand it to the Liberal party. They outflanked the NDP to the left in 2015 and got a majority. Now they're in massive majority territory by eating the CPC's lunch. And in between they survived 2 elections by just being less off-putting than their rivals. It's not pretty, but they win.

NOTABLE: The majority in today's decision compares ICE's mass detention policy to Japanese internment during World War II — and says that historical blight on America is "limited in scope" compared to the detention policy the Trump administration is pursuing today. www.politico.com/news/2026/09...
