Dark mode. Do the websites & web apps made by your team support dark mode? If not, why not? What do you want to know most to help empower your team to support it?! What’s the blocker? What is confusing or hard about dark mode? #css #web #development #design

Hi! I'm working on a new HTML feature: filterable select There are two proposed API shapes so far: 1. Nesting <input> in <select> 2. Sibling <input> for listbox <select> w/id ref Option 1 is more ergonomic, but would break selects in older browsers Thoughts? (Both currently in Canary w/flag)

📊 For websites that use a tri-state dark mode toggle (system, light, dark), have you EVER clicked on the override that matches your current system theme? E.g. going from System to Light on a light OS (which produces no visible change). Experimentation aside obvs. Poll at github.com/LeaVerou/blo...

Forms are better with <fieldset> and <legend> because of accessibility and stuff (adrianroselli.com/2022/07/use-... for details), but did you know that <fieldset> also has a hidden DX feature? You can toggle its disabled attribute to enable or disable whole sets of inputs all at once! #html #webdev

There's a new #CSS Working Group poll to get feedback on different names for the infamous 'Pinterest' layout. - Since it uses many of the grid-* properties, `grid` will be in the name somewhere - We don't use metaphors in CSS names, so `masonry` is not listed here docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...
