Robots Cheat Off Humans’ Answers to Pass Turing Test

batkaren@batkaren.bsky.social

goddammit, just realized the reason we need to identify stop signs and school buses and crosswalks to confirm we’re not robots is to train the ai in driverless cars

I know I'm in the minority but I think it's bullshit that after Nixon won twice, Reagan Twice, 3 bushes, and 2 trump terms, Joni Mitchell decides NOW to finally participate.

just more proof that the dems will stop fighting as long as they get their cut. It's a big club and you aint in it

It’s real to recognize that American Football is a tool of fascist propaganda and toxic masculinity. Fuck Taylor Swift and her boyfriend.

Matt Lombardo@mattlombardo.bsky.social

Can we be real for a second? I think it’s incredible to see how *supportive* Taylor Swift is of Travis Kelce, and how much networks showing her helps introduce young girls and women to football who never would have otherwise cared. Can we please leave these conversations and complaints in 2024?

And there will be just enough Dems voting with Republicans to make sure nothing fundamentally changes

Bulwark: "With just over 6 weeks to go until election day, things couldn't be going better for the Democrats. Polls show voters favoring the party over Republicans-by increasingly substantial margins. Forecasters are convinced Democrats will retake the House & some even see them winning the Senate."

Kinda gross that his wife, Elaine Chao, is okay with this.

New in PN: Retire in peace "McConnell would never be allowed to drive a car, babysit young children, or file his own taxes. Why, then, should a cognitively incapacitated 82-year-old retain one of the most important positions of power within the national government?"

Now you've got Blue No Matter Who numpties yelling about how the time to criticize Democrats was before the primary. What if the Democrat flip flops on trans rights after the primary? What then? Politicians are not your friends. They work for you. We don't work for them. Fuck.

RingoOSU reposted

Imagine if you spent a quarter of the time yelling at the politicians who are allowing themselves to be radicalized into transphobia as you do yelling at trans people online. with talarico, specifically, he KNOWS what the pro-trans stance is because HE HELD IT BEFORE THE PRIMARY. fucking hell

THE DEMOCRATS

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

Iowa Dem. Gov. candidate Rob Sand was confronted at a rally yesterday over anti-trans positions. A constituent asked if he would walk them back. He refused to, and in fact said he supported sports bans. Another constituent shouted "COWARD!" in the background. Subscribe to support our journalism.

One more time: Inheritance tax *is not unique or even uncommon* in being "double taxation". The coffee I just bought was paid for with wages on which income tax and NI had been levied, but was also subject to VAT. Just stop it.

I actually asked my vet about this--that is, I asked her why she thought someone would even care if their dogs had autism, and she looked me straight in the face, and said, I quote, "because people have lost their damn minds"

Obviously it has nothing to do with his decision to appear on a bigoted network and feed into their anti trans narrative. No, surely it was something else.

Schnorkles O'Bork@schnorkles.bsky.social

Gotta admit that I don't really think it's coincidental that suddenly all the knives are out for Talarico the moment polling has rather decisively turned in his favor.

Exactly. You can’t tell me to vote for the anti-fascist when the anti-fascist is supposed to be James Tallarico. A man who voted to silence college protests, and said he will vote to kill children and is against any kind of universal healthcare.

But in fascist times, the issue is a binary! Nobody appears to be grasping this. There is no middle ground on civil rights, because fascism seeks to destroy them. You can’t compromise with just a little bit of bigotry, just a wee drop of fascism. Either rights are for all or they are meaningless.

Finally saw one of these in the wilds of West Norman, but sadly somebody tried to rip it off. 😢 So here’s my attempt at restoring it & reminding y’all that while normally a president isn’t solely responsible for gas prices, Trump’s war with Iran DID INDEED drive gas prices up!

I know it's futile to keep having this argument but I just want some honesty about what "he needs to win in Texas" means. It means anti-trans pledges will win more votes than they lose. And if you're comfortable with that then you should be comfortable with the idea that he will lose *some* votes.

Evan Urquhart@evanurquhart.bsky.social

Dem: We need to vote to protect our children from fascism! Trans: I will vote to protect trans children from fascism! Dem: Not them. Other children! Vote to protect the other children! Trans: I will vote for anyone who'll protect trans children from fascism. Dem: Wny do you love fascism????

throws other sexes under the bus for votes. will throw 6 dollar diesel under the bus next if it behooves him.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

FOX NEWS: During the 2021 era, you said 'there are 6 biological sexes.' Do you still believe that? TALARICO: No. I've missed the mark on some of my past statements. The reason Republicans want to talk about six sexes is because they don't want to talk about $6 diesel.

something liberals fundamentally can't understand is that getting back to how things were in 2015 isn't a fix and isn't good enough. because how things were in 2015 is what produced donald trump.

People have noted I’m writing more articles about anti trans dems now than I used to. I swear it isn’t because I hate dems or want them to lose. I’ve ALWAYS written articles about anti trans dems. It’s just that now there are so many more to write about.
