I disavow HP printers. I disavow use of digital restrictions management to block use of third-party consumables. I embrace the Brother laser printer brotherhood.

Do you disavow the "Just buy the Brother laser printer everyone else has. It's fine." brotherhood?

Be weird. Don't hold back. Post about your more obscure special interests. Covering even deep-cut niches helps prevent a situation where someone joins Bluesky, finds that hardly anyone posts about some topic they're interested in, and crawls back to X. Use alt text to help others find your posts.

In the precision platformer FLIPPING IS HARD for Windows, you play as a candybar-shaped mobile phone named Flippy trying to return to its owner Jeff. Incidentally, Jeff from the FIH trailer looks a lot like the character Flippy from Precious Moments.

"Hey there, champ. It's Grandpa!" store.steampowered.com/app/3826670/... - This is Flipping is Hard, a precision platformer game! A good challenge and now with multiplayer! I got to play as the voice of Grandpa! Thank you to Elegant Horse Studios for letting me be a part of this!

it’s worth underlining that the amount which a modern live game is not this is directly the result of devs fighting inch by inch, for months if not years, against the guy at every corporation who demands an explanation for why you aren’t doing this at all times

Morgan Johnson@poormojo.bsky.social

No joke. I think this is the most important video I have ever seen about mobile games. This guy breaks down how this game psychologically profiles you, and makes the game harder or easier in order to show you ads

A broken clock ⏰️ shows the correct hour 8 percent of the time. Even if an elected official is as actively dangerous as some in power in 2026, I feel no shame in agreeing with up to 8 percent of their platform while expressing sheer disgust at the other 92 percent.

"LSTM" stands for "long short-term memory", the neural network architecture that predates the more parallel "transformer" architecture of current language models. Yet out of frustration with LLM output that has filled web search results, I first read it as "looks slop to me."

Understanding LSTM Networks Long Short Term Memory networks – called “LSTMs” – are a special kind of RNN, capable of learning long-term dependencies. They were introduced by Hochreiter & Schmidhuber, and were refined and popularized by many people in following work. colah.github.io/posts/2015-0...

Is there any harm in using AI to work on — or entirely create — projects for the Sega Saturn and elsewhere in the retro gaming scene? Yes, PandaMonium says in this opinion column, equating such work to digital asbestos: www.segasaturnshiro.com/2026/09/24/c... #sega #saturn #segasaturn #retrogaming

Disney needs to cool it with the rapid-fire live-action remakes already. They just remade PINOCCHIO in 2022, and now four years later, Disney's 20th Century Studios is rehashing the Monstro🐋 sequence into WHALEFALL.

"I before E, except after C" is an ancient proverb known to many in society. It was never scientific, with a deficiency of evidence, and not efficient at explaining English spelling. I can't in good conscience recommend it any more than other fallacies. #SelfDemonstrating

I'm happy to announce the RetroTap will be releasing on September 3rd. RetroTap is a 9V, 5V power distribution system that powers up to 11 retro consoles, compatible with 45+. It replaces aging, bulky wall warts with a simplified, modern, central power solution. kytor.com/store/produc... /1

Hm, there are a few unnecessary words in the headline here. I’m no AI model but let’s see if I can’t help improve this a bit.

Yet another reason to avoid large language models: They're like Cocomelon for grown-ups. Too much LLM use not only makes you pick up LLMs' phrasing quirks but also breaks the reward system in the brain. Just ask Hank Green of YouTube education channel Complexly.
