You really need to work hard to be the most obsequious member of Trump’s cabinet — by, for instance, eating lunch at Cheesecake Factory and alerting Fox Business, so they can interview you in defense of Obama’s joke about the White House decor. Well done Secretary Bessent! Your move, Doug Burgum!

this isn’t true. but i actually do know of one guy who regularly doesn’t win the nobel prize and he is absolutely livid about it. won’t stop posting on truth social about it. maybe rfk knows him?

ok i’m just turning this off permanently, this is awful. i hate it. promotes non-reply notifications to look just as important as replies. terrible garbage.

If you want to use AI that’s your personal choice and you need to keep it to yourself and stop proselytizing your weird computer religion in public.

“I’ve” is a contraction of “I have,” so if someone says “hey, have you done that thing yet?” you can technically just reply “I’ve.”

my take on the cheesecake factory controversy is i’ve never been to a cheesecake factory, i don’t know where my nearest cheesecake factory is, and i vaguely understand the reference regardless.

i hope one day every person in this administration answers for everything they’ve done

Broadcasters have a First Amendment right to report polling data, even if it proves to be inaccurate, just like they have a First Amendment right to report on Brendan Carr and Trump’s own countless lies, even when they turn out to be inaccurate. More:

The marketing tagline for the new Call of Duty is “warfare without limits,” which sounds suspiciously like a war crime.

maybe impeach him already

Breaking: Trump violated the U.S. Constitution in nationalizing California’s national guard last year during the anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles, a panel on the 9th Circuit ruled 2-1, finding California is likely to succeed on the merits. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

Xbox has done a full console takeover for Call of Duty. My home screen has 3 ads for it, the store tile on the home screen is themed after it, even selected console background is replaced with an ad. I don’t like this one bit. @xbox.com what are you thinking here? Cut it out.

The fact that the president's doctors are giving him the dementia test over and over again -- tracking his decline, most likely -- and that the president keeps bragging about having to take that test should be a five-alarm fire.

Trump: "You know, the first question -- they have a lion, a snake, a giraffe, and a bear. And they say 'which is the snake?' ... by the time you get to number five a lot of people are left out on the road ... I get no credit for it."

oh come on man. come on.

Somewhere, on X, John Ternus is reading @gruber.foo’s review of the iPhone Duo and saying “I thought the culture here was remarkably friendly and inclusive.”

sorry wait… apple is calling the new “black note on white background” branding for apple music “visually beautiful”? they’ve lost the plot.

bioware dead and mass effect canceled? this sucks man

Hey you criticize but if they had excluded numbers less than 10 the key would have less entropy and be more vulnerable to attack. How were they supposed to know people would guess those first.

i wish he’d just do the big one and get it over with so he can piss off more members of congress and hopefully get impeached already.

"Shylock" and "Mongoloid" in consecutive days. What slur will the Trump administration use next?

impeachment is too good for these people. they all need to die in prison. and not a nice country club one, either.

My brain cannot process this level of corruption. She was being paid $50 million to engineer a pardon from Trump *while working at the Justice Department* as a "Special Government Employee." And it worked. He got the pardon, and she got the money. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/20/u...

Genuinely great reporting to get this nailed down, but also who else would it have been? It's either the president or the shadow president.

THEY ARE NOT POWERLESS TO STOP HIM! Go back to Washington, stand on the steps of the Capitol and demand Johnson and Thune recall the House and Senate, and impeach him. THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK! THERE IS LITERALLY AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL! (It's called the Constitution.)

Republican lawmakers are incensed about Trump's dismissal of Ukraine — and powerless to stop him. That frustration hit a new peak on Monday as they sought to address Trump’s decision to purchase Russian diesel, waive sanctions on Moscow, and potentially stop sharing intelligence with Ukraine.

touchscreen macbook should signal the end of apple’s hardware design dominance, just like ios 7 did for software. the touch bar was idiotic, but this will be worse. and “just don’t buy it” isn’t going to help because this will drag mac software design to the lowest common denominator: touch input.
