i have finished sippin my horse wine but i'm an open book so you can still ask me anything even when I'm feeling less normal

Thread about my name. I love telling this story. Sound/rhythm are important to me so I wanted a lot of carry-overs from my deadname: J start, two syllables, could shorten to one as a nickname. Left me with a surprising number of options but the trick was finding something that felt very Me. (1/10)

For someone who's never seen a full episode of Ted Lasso, I keep dropping homespun aphorisms that remind me of Jason Sudeikis's delivery Friend: "Maybe a bunch of bad stuff HAD to happen in order for better change." Me: "I mean. Plenty grows after a forest fire. Didn't mean it had to burn down."

opening night for my first stage-managed show and i feel at once that i have done barely anything AND that i've busted my ass at every level of this show granted that's how i feel about most stuff i do. but dedicated support/organization/leadership position is still something I'm getting used to
