Feeling aroused? With your mobile phone, you have instant access to pornography at any time! But watch out: in some areas it’s considered a faux pas to view a pornograph in public. Make sure to be aware of your surroundings and their special rules. Well, you’re ready to masturbate. Best of luck.

“In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back to a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.” IT SAVES PUBLIC MONEY to house people.

if a person had poor English and were selling English language learning courses, would you accept that? so why on earth do we keep accepting broken Irish language courses? why do we keep saying "is fearr Gaeilge bhriste ná Béarla cliste" when all we're doing is creating a cycle of poor Irish?

This isn't a weird quirk of the system. This is a direct consequence of the degree of enfranchisement prstv gives, that your vote encodes to quite surprising degree of granularity what matters to you, and thus what matters to you is reflected in your elected representatives.

I hope this clip survives til an age where the west moves back to funding public programs with taxation of private profits, so that we can point an laugh at this absolute goon lying to our faces

if i had a nickle for every amazon prime superhero show where the heroes targeted the unstoppable, incredibly strong, evil super race of people with a horrible virus, that kills only the wicked i'd have two nickles, but it's weird that happened twice. as if we have some collective shared trauma...

Can’t emphasise enough how vital other place was when we were starting out and struggling to be known. I’m grateful we’re now in a position where we aren’t looking to grow so it’s not as important. This isn’t true for many. If you see an indie business you like post please repost and not just like.

Here's a look at Dublin Inquirer's finances. We ask people to subscribe to help us do what we do, so it feels fair to tell you all where we are financially, and what we'd spend that subscription income on.

I love how opinions I recall from being 17 are now getting into the opinion pages of fancy newspapers. This is what some of my friends who now have normal jobs used to say about rampaging through the cassette racks of HMV

@lokapila.bsky.social Put in a request to the Department of Housing under FOI, asking for analysis/modelling of the likely impacts – on affordability and supply – of the government's big, recent rental law changes. The response? No such records exist.

Google updated their "Now Playing" app which is constantly listening for background music so you can refer back to later. I thought it recognising the alarm tone was pretty funny but the more I think about the capabilities Google have to match on arbitrary "sounds" they recognise... Bit spooky
