🚨The most important NASA graph in the world has another 6 months of data, and it looks even worse. 🚨 NASA CERES satellites measure how much sunlight Earth absorbs and how much heat is radiated back to space. The difference is heat accumulation, which has more than tripled over the past 26 years!

goal: net neutral by 2040(*) (*) maybe, unless we feel we can't do it, or something comes up, like, bad stuff, you know -- the #austrian governments #climate legislation is very on brand in its non-commital sloppy way orf.at/stories/3442...
tl;dr: from a climate pov plant proteins are usually best. eggs, chicken and farmed fish come next; many protein sources have quite a wide range of variation in their emissions though, depending on how exactly they're produced.
What is the best way to reduce our diet’s carbon footprint? Many argue that comparisons based on global averages overlook the large variation in the footprints of foods across the world.

You say that hiring young people purely based on their ability to be obnoxious and provocative and racist enough to attract an online following might present some problems when the time comes to actually govern?! 🤔🤔🤔

This discussion puts its finger squarely on one of the two thorniest issues of geoengineering - namely that, to succeed, it would require multidecadal stable and rational governance of the countries and entities involved. How's that going, these days?

A bunch of European AI policy and engineering guys asked me to help out on this project and it's been fascinating and chilling: what happens to the EU if it doesn't step up on AI (in short, economic collapse and vassalage to the US/China) europe2031.ai long but I hope worth it!
The problem with Gebana is that every once in a while you order something just to try it out and then it turns out to be really really good and then you can't go back but it's actually quite pricey www.gebana.com/eu-en/dried-...
