It’s my queer/trans Hamlet-book-shaped son’s birthday today!!! Spiritually I’m putting a party hat on Horatio and telling everyone to be nice to him.

Auden Patrick’s Thoughts Be Bloody @dawbooks.bsky.social a 5 🌟 retelling that destabilizes Hamlet, rebuilds it through identity & becoming to make it something new! It’s dark academia with a mythic edge & a queer narrative that show what happens when you inhabit a classic and makes it yours!

One thing about me is that most of the timeI’m like if a guy was a German shepherd who got left on the side of the road but instead of a dog he’s a guy who decided to write a lot of words about it. You understand.

When is a dark academia story actually dark enough for a grimdark fan?

I’m going to say something patently absurd. Bear with me. I miss the MBTA green line.

I loved this one so much!! Messy, painful, tragic, cathartic It's a queer and trans retelling of Hamlet that you absolutely need! Go preorder THOUGHTS BE BLOODY by @patrickauden.bsky.social now!

Ok enough real Book posts for now. Got asked what I ACTUALLY do on a dating app recently and simply can’t deal. Idk what to tell you, I listed “freelance writer/odd jobs guy” in my bio. I’m a freelance writer who does odd jobs. What do you want from me? A traditional career path? In this economy?

Catharsis-approved by @kmenright.bsky.social !

My best craft advice is "Put a giant worm in it." You can never go wrong with a giant worm. Sci-fi: Giant worm on an alien planet Fantasy: Giant worm in mountain sitting on a pile of gold Horror: Giant worm (eats people) Romance: Giant worm causes third-act breakup Mystery: Giant worm investigates

Who’s that guy? Never heard of him.

requested the eARC of my own book bc my friends showed me the cover of their ereaders and I want to see it on mine and have the Authentic Netgalley Experience lol

RECENT GOOGLE SEARCHES: “how to stay silly when discovering brand new stages of grief”, “am i actually redeemable though”, “how to tell if you’re redeemable or not”, “how to stay silly when you’re not sure if redemption is really achievable,” & “pictures of men in Edwardian fashion kissing”

I do not want to create an account or open a subscription I just want to buy a thing and never hear from you again why is this so hard.

Hey—just checking in. I wanted to make sure you weren’t trapped in an endless spiral of wondering what might’ve happened if you’d done things differently. Oh…now you’re thinking about how fate has spun out in too many different directions to count. Again? Okay. Well. I’ll be here when you’re done.
