It’s Launch Day, darling! This one is not cozy or for the faint of heart, please note the warnings, but it’s here at last!
And while you should read in the way you like the best—dude, Neil Newbon’s narration knocks it out of the PARK.

This is something we get accused of surprisingly often and all I can say is: yes. Good. I am here to destroy the hopes and dreams of husbands who don't think they have to add value to their wife's life.
"For married women, it gives unrealistic expectations of sex, often leading to disappointment in our marriages...For unmarried women, these books will do nothing but give you unrealistic expectations for when you do get married."

My pal Danielle Koenig shared that her father Walter Koenig passed away last night at age 90. A performer whose kindness and warmth shone through the screen. He will be well remembered.
#Booksky Spooktacular 2026 Day 26: Southern Gothic horror the way only @tkingfisher.com can do it? That’s what’s on the menu in A House with Good Bones. Also insects, vultures, and teeth! Kingfisher has that tricky skill of making you laugh and creeping you out in quick succession, which I love.
A reference probably only understood by 3 people in academia, but I think I’ve figured out a way to put my finger on LLM-speech’s ineffable badness:
AI can’t smell.

Today @alyalyoops.bsky.social gives us a look at some short reads for spooky season: @tkingfisher.com's Sworn Soldier series! -JI🐉
"Classic literature, ancient myth, and Lovecraftian horror is a winning combination & highly effective."

Stepped out of the restaurant with two friends, and a woman yells at us.
HER: Hey! What band are you in?
US: Eh?
HER: What’s the name of your band?
KEVIN: We’re not in a band?
HER: You’re not?
ME: We’re just weirdos.
And then she began singing “Creep” at us.
RFK Jr. suggests Americans can more easily afford groceries if they start eating liver instead of beef:
"Most of the cheap cuts of meat are very inexpensive. You can buy liver or the cheap cuts."
It's so much fun sharing our adoration of @tkingfisher.com with her fans. Yeah we sell her books, but we voraciously READ her books too.
She spans so many genres from YA to Fantasy to Horror to Romance. One of the reasons we love selling her books is because there is something for everyone.
Anyone sad at missing out on any @tkingfisher.com books who is in the Minneapolis / Saint Paul area... we will be at the Twin Cities Book Festival on November 7th.
We may have signed copies of some of her titles!

We all need to make a pact that we're just going to log off.
Just get tf offline until the adrenaline high fades as otherwise we won't be fedposting, we'll be fedbaiting, possibly fedfluffing or even fededging. Fedging.
We’re open for business at @milehicon.bsky.social and here all weekend. Come and get your @tkingfisher.com fix (and maybe some Furry books for “your friend who is into that stuff” 😉)
Huh. I knew they had tiny brains, but TIL that giant anteaters have one of the lowest body temperatures of any mammal, at a cool 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Neat!
They are also adorable, but despite being friend-shaped, DO NOT HUG.
As we approach the midterms, remember that the Alt National Park Service is a merch sales operation claiming without evidence to be a group of federal employees, and is not a genuine source of news about elections of any kind.
Please get your election info from a local, reputable source.

Enormous news. A melanoma vaccine, one of the most deadly cancers out there. Science is good and helpful and there should be more of it.

On the road to Denver and MileHiCon! Stopped at an antique store. Kevin had to convince me that the elk skull with full rack won’t fit in the truck with the luggage.
Science presenter to kids: "Can you imagine a pillbug the size of you?"
Me: I have been EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED to a pillbug the size of me, courtesy of @tkingfisher.com.
Bluesky pals! I have a sci-fi graphic novel called DRIVE, & it's my favorite thing I've ever done! If you need a long, escapist read at the moment the entire thing is free to read, here: drivecomic.com

Violet, the widowed Countess of Cambury, has always been a proper lady. That’s why she funneled her scandalous scientific research through her best friend.

Beechdrops are a fully parasitic plant that does not photosynthesize and cannot exist without its host, the American beech tree -- populations of which are becoming rapidly decimated by the introduced pathogen, beech leaf disease.
Beechdrops cause little to no harm to their host. #nativeplants 🌿
There is a doofus currently arguing here that no "creative talent" would choose to write tie-ins, and since I just did a panel this weekend on why creative talents choose to write IP, here are a few reasons. Non-financial reasons, for fun and because frankly it usually doesn't pay that well.
This year's taxonomic update of North American birds is out! There are a host of exciting new splits and other rearrangements, including changes to Willets, Marsh Wren, Great Egret, and Yellow Warbler. Plus, Guatemala's first endemic bird species!

Generally it's not good for the person in charge of one of the world's two largest nuclear arsenals to have such a thin grasp on reality but in this case him believing the status quo (US keeps its existing military base on Greenland, maybe more) is a new change is in fact fine.
We have not kept this exquisite spite business alive for 18 years just to let a moral panic take it out without the mother of all fights first, and the people manufacturing this moral panic can fucking kiss my fucking ass, I'm too invested at this point to just hand them the win.
Someone said to me, "I'm sorry but I got your book from a library." Nobody should ever apologise for that. You read my book! That's brilliant! I grew up hanging out in libraries and the idea of a world without them fills me with dread. Without libraries, authors, like readers, will only suffer.
Wanna help me pack up native seeds for free distribution across Philly this winter?
Join us tonight from 6:30-9pm at Sulimay's Restaurant!
If you can't make it tonight, we're meeting again Nov 2nd and 16th
