Seeing people talking in favour of AI online feels like seeing someone in a state of manic delusion. What do you mean Claude/GPT/whatever “understands” something? By definition it can’t “understand” anything 😭

Incredible how every ring wing pundit went from "THIS IS WAR" "THERE WILL BE BLOOD IN THE STREETS" to "what an unfortunate tragedy" the minute it didn't fit their narrative. They wasted no time in calling for violence towards trans people despite it once again being a white cis male shooter

to be clear, majority report is correct: @taylorlorenz.bsky.social's article hasn't really been refuted. theses weirdoes came out and lied to their audience about it and angrily lashed out like maniacs. They could have just said "we'll do better, sorry!" ahhhhhh

Google admits the open web is in ‘rapid decline’

a US supreme judge has confirmed ICE is allowed to racially profile people so they can then detain and arrest them. 🙃

This feels like a never ending fight 😩 And it’s so transparent, no more privacy for thee* *unless you’re an EU politician 🙃 fightchatcontrol.eu #Privacy #EU #Europe

By the way every western country could do this at any point but they choose not too

South Park just created a piece of art! “What are you? A dictator from the Middle East?” 😭😭💀💀 #southpark

stop 👏 anthropomorphizing 👏 the 👏 chatbot 👏

Holy shit the Tomorrowland main stage is on fire (literally)

‘New York Times’ Announces New Columnist Will Contribute Nothing To Society 3 Times A Week

Watch my latest video on data privacy, surveillance, and free speech!!

What should we do about MEN? We are losing MEN! Working class MEN. What about MEN?! MEN need to be thought about. We need to cater to MEN. What are we doing for MEN? The last election was about MEN. Women? I dunno, who cares. Trans people? Who? Maybe just Eradicate. We need to talk more about MEN

Fuck. I’m 30.

It seems to be that period that only happens every few years where I suddenly get interested in books. Read 5 during the past week. Wonder how long this streak will last…

Did a personal best today! First time I manage to keep a pace of under 5 min/km for more than 5km! And first time managing 10km in under 50 minutes 🥹 My HR was all in zone 4 and 5 but I feel great after 🥰 #Running

“luna stop posting about politics” tell them to stop trying to kill my friends.

Sharing what I did on the weekend: I decided to run all the way to the sea side and back, a total of ~30km! Second time I run this distance ever 💕 Recovery was not nearly as bad as I expected and I’m ready to go for a short run again today #Running

Yet another thing that I never properly thought about and just assumed that the default common behaviour I always see must be the most accessible way to do it. “Should accordions auto-close sections?” https://ashleemboyer.com/blog/should-accordions-auto-close-sections

waaaaay too many people in the middle imo

We will never have free speech OR safety for marginalized people on platforms owned and controlled by billionaires & monopolists. My cranky ass opinion is we should spend less time worrying about what Zuck says and more time building a movement to dismantle Big Tech & build the Internet we need

I wrote about why Mark Zuckerberg is spectacularly evil in a three-part series here - based in part on my experiences reporting in Myanmar in the early 2010s. little-flying-robots.ghost.io/facebook-des...

I can’t get over how cartoonishly evil this is putting in your fucking “hate speech” policy that a particular kind of hate speech against a particular group of people is explicitly allowed - and therefore encouraged - is the kind of shit that should be done from a volcano lair with a shark moat

Decided to end the year on a high note. For the first time I’ve managed to finish a half marathon distance in under 2 hours ❤️❤️ I can’t believe how much I’ve managed to improve since I started in April ❤️ #Running

I think I’ve been making scrambled eggs wrong for my whole life? With just a bit more patience and lower heat it’s quite spreadable and tastes like pure perfection #Cooking

Quite proud of this! Did my longest run ever!! My first 30km run, in a bit under 3 hours. My legs are sore but not nearly as much as I’d have expected after this 💕 #Running

lol lmao thathtml.blog/2024/12/tail...

In order to have something while my habaneros are fermenting, I made a roasted pineapple habanero hot sauce It’s still warm but first impressions are good! Very tasty and not too sweet #HotSauce

Running with a bit of rain is surprisingly pleasant! Had a nice time today evening with a really nice 12 degree weather 🌧️ #Running

First little trinket I manage to get from the NS Wintercity thingy. It’s quite cute!

Second time ever I’ve managed to run a half marathon distance! This time without causing any injuries 😆 Wonder if the geese in Leiden already remember me and are annoyed at me always taking pics of them :) #Running

Got a lot of hot sauces this year as gifts so I hadn’t had the shelf space to make my own for a while. But now I have the space so I got myself some fresh habaneros and Trinidad Scorpion! This should be ready in two to three weeks 🌶️ #FermentedHotSauce

Well this is grim

Hi did you order an accessibility nightmare fuel thread? No? Hmm. That’s too bad. Here ya go! 🧵
