Hi all :) I'm looking to improve Storybook for Vue users. If you maintain a Vue design system or component library and don’t use Storybook, what stopped you? And if you tried it and dropped it, what was the moment you gave up?

a luxury framework for a luxury brand. haute couture

Hugo@hugorcd.com

Really proud that @nuxt.com powers so many luxury brands and Awwwards sites. These teams obsess over quality, craft and the details most people never notice. That pursuit of excellence is something we share with them, so seeing them choose Nuxt honestly means a lot.

One minor feature of Preact 11 that we haven't talked about much is the strictly typed aria roles on HTML elements, where possible. In short, `<header role="form">` will now be a type error. Spent quite a bit of time going through the spec docs to build that out, doing our part to make the web more

happy sunday! fonts.nuxt.com v1 is out 🎉 if you haven't tried it, here's how: 1️⃣ use `font-family` in css or tailwind ✅ ... and you're done! nuxt will detect the font, self-host it, and generate preloads + font metrics to cut layout shift + load time no configuration required ✨

😩

I've found the OSS scene to be super depressing lately. Quite a few individuals that I've respected for years due to the care, quality, and thoughtfulness put into their work have done this strange flip where they've entirely abandoned that, switching to a model of just throwing shit out the door.

Here is the new nuxt-pglite, embedded within your server/client or fully tree-shaken dev-only tool of your production postgres I might be a bit slow with releases, but I test new DXs on my own skin first. It took me 4 months of redesigning, but I'm now pretty happy with results and we have docs!

nuxt-pglite.s94.devNuxt PGliteEmbedded Postgres for Nuxt. A PGlite instance for your server routes, a development socket for your Postgres tooling, and an in-browser database with live queries.

the order of the sinking star is peak puzzle design. i won’t spoil in case anyone reads this but west is just 🤯

as much as i love the finals i don't see it having as much potential as arc raiders without merging both stories. also why would they license them in tandem if not for this very same reason?

Back in the day we would build, learn and publish whatever we wanted and no one could tell us otherwise. Now we’re told the only way forward is slop, and we immediately fall in line? Fuck that. We’re in charge of the biggest software, communication and publishing platform in the world. Act like it!

While I appreciate this post, I’m getting tired of this industry-wide tone of having given up. That’s not the spirit of the web.

it's a new season for technology & for technologists, and our labor and its impact to the world are both more greater and more dangerous than ever. how do we make sense of work in an industry many of us no longer recognize?

PSA: H3 Stable and Nitro RC are imminent. Closing the last-minute gaps. Sorry for all the delays, but every single one was worth it. Nitro is becoming a MINIMAL, FAST, UNOPINIONATED/AGNOSTIC Swiss Army knife for building any web app. Your agents are gonna LOVE it.

let’s say an hypotethical website called npm had a half-baked dark mode and you’d prefer being able to use that site instead of the better but also hypotethical alternative called npmx

Artem Zakharchenko@kettanaito.com

I wonder when would a user want a site to be displayed in a different mode than they have selected for their system? I cannot think of a scenario when I want my system to be dark but this particular site, I want it to blind me.

v1 is pretty much done. need to do screenshots and set up a website to sell it. anyone here likes juicewrld and uses macos?

Nestor Vera@nestor.rip

finally gave in and started building a native macos app with swiftui this afternoon 🤦‍♂️

youtube is the same with all the ai generated slideshows. even human youtubers record the worst scripts and use the worst models to cleanup their audio and end up sounding like robots 😔

Joni Korpi@jonikorpi.com

I can no longer tell whether web search results for subjects I'm not already familiar with are AI slop or not. They all feel the same: never before seen websites, prattling about nothing for SEO, before dropping a few nuggets of information that may or may not be true. This is horrible.

swiftui is pretty decent but, even worse, i think i'm in love with how xcode renders `///` comments with a proportional font instead of mono (they still use mono for nested `strings`) 🫣

new vscode chrome is a pita to theme just using the json config (trying to patch dracula pro to my liking like i've always done)

savage > You likely won't exist with this context.

so, for reasons ... I decided to try something 👀 👉 it's a skill that helps AI agents talk to humans if that's relevant to you, please let me know how you find it 🙏 ... and please help me make it better!

@pi0.io came in clutch and managed to to sneak this request of mine from a while ago into ipx’s v4 💖 now thanks to @danielroe.dev it’s out for anyone to enjoy on @nuxt/image too 🙌 github.com/unjs/ipx/iss...

Did I mention that `flex-wrap: balance` landed in Chrome stable last month!? 👀👀👀

Introducing 🤯 flex-wrap: balance 🤯 Would you use this? ⚠️ Not a real feature yet, just something one of our engineers has been working on. (You can try it out in the latest Chrome Canary with the experimental web platform features flag though!)

news just in: catalans are no more. you can now refer to us as catalunyans and/or catalonians (at least the first one knows how to properly spell catalunya in catalan)
