Today is my first day at @GitHubNext.com! GitHub has been one of my favorite places to hang since I signed up 18 years ago(!), a mere month after its founding. Excited to join this talented team to try and figure out what comes next for our craft ...

please can we standardize this already 🙏 1p isn't even in the brawl here, sometimes there are 3 or more of these.

Congrats y'all - excited to see where things go for here. Now... deltadb OS please? 😁

Zed@zed.dev

Delta is now in public beta. It’s a multiplayer environment for coding with agents and reviewing what they build, with every code change linked to the conversation that produced it. Anyone can download it today on macOS, Linux, and Windows: delta.dev/download

god ui, great tool 🔥

David Aerne@meodai.color.pizza

After testing 100s of imgs comparing tiny and big changes to the algo: I am now confident to present to you: The new okpalette.color.pizza. Powerful as before, ~40% faster, better at detecting good presets and much better at finding rare colors! Test it with your pics and let me know what you think

chaotic good

Patton Oswalt@pattonoswalt.bsky.social

Apparently people are sharing this far and wide on social media, which I think is horrible. This could cripple ICE operations. PLEASE do not share this.

Is the Safari team doing some sort of social experiment? "What happens if we make Safari completely unusable for everyone?" Design crimes.

Ahhh this is awesome. Good shit 🔥

Zed@zed.dev

Open any commit's diff from the command palette with `git: view commit`. Feed it `HEAD`, a SHA, a branch, or a tag. Thanks schpet!

Both of these are objectively correct. Anything not neutral, flat and soul-less.

Annie Sexton@anniesexton.com

This is the ideal user interface. You may not like it, but this is what peak UX looks like.

Got to talk at @aidotengineer.bsky.social conf last week about the need for collaborative AI engineering. All our current coding agents are single player. We're trying to scale up individual productivity, but creating tons of alignment problems in the process. We have no good tools for...

right now everything in the world is telling you to go faster, ship more, add that feature, start another project so i'm actively working on feeling ok not doing any of that

tfw you just barely catch in the scroll claude getting irritated it can't solve a problem with some test seeds, so it just decides to encode into the test to skip them...

Been getting back to shipping some components for gpuikit - maybe a new release will come sometime this month...

Have the dubious honor of receiving my first open claw recruitment email 😅 time to start thinking about better filtering tools for email...

tfw you haven been working on a new crate for a few weeks, uncommon name, available, don't want to be squatting before there is something to publish... publish... the remote server responded with an error (status 403 Forbidden): this crate exists but you don't seem to be an owner.

yeah this is awesome. anyone not excited about atproto in 2026 is just sour as hell

@blento.app is a fever dream in all the right ways. I took way too long to check it out, but as soon as I started thinking about it as a digital collage it clicked. So much fun

say what you want about language models. but I love being able to iterate on shit like this in minutes. It feels so good to just get to do the fun part.
