Delta is now in public beta. It’s a multiplayer environment for coding with agents and reviewing what they build, with every code change linked to the conversation that produced it. Anyone can download it today on macOS, Linux, and Windows: delta.dev/download

Claude Code is now multiplayer. Run `/delta share` in Claude Code, and your teammate joins in their own session with your full context and uncommitted work. You're both working on the same thread, backed by DeltaDB. delta.dev/blog/claude-...

We’ve unified thread colors and tags in Delta v0.21.0 to make organizing your threads a little simpler. Pick a color, then optionally give its tag a name like “Blog” or “Bug fix.”

Catch @theinedibleholk at the SF @nvidia meetup on Nov 5. And get an inside look at Rust projects at @openai @awscloud and of course @nvidia. 🦀 Big thanks to organizers @lawrenceharvey_ for bringing this to life. RSVP below 👇

Have you tried Delta’s subthreads? They’ve been fully recursive since v0.20.0. Fork one to explore another approach, ask an agent to summarize the parent thread, or follow a side question without cluttering the original conversation. How are you using them?

🚀 Zed v1.25 is out! Since v1.23, we've reduced Zed's binary size by ~30% across all platforms.

External agents using ACP now support context compaction and session notices.

You can now use Gemini 4 Argon (`gemini-4-argon`) with the Google AI provider, plus GPT-6 Astra, Claude Fable 5.1, and Claude Opus 5.5 with the Amazon Bedrock provider. Thanks LorenzoBiassio, IbrahimKhan12, and alexandergunnarson!

You can now apply inlay hint text edits by double-clicking them, or by running `editor: accept inlay hint` with the cursor at the hint.

Ready for the next Zed meetup in Amsterdam? Join us on October 27 for an evening of talks and socializing with other Zed users. We're joining forces with @jetbrains.com and AI Tinkerers to bring you this meetup (and grow the community, of course!). RSVP below.

Lost a thread? Ask Delta to find it. Delta has built-in tools to search and read your past threads. Just describe what you remember.

We tested 25 approaches to MCP tool search, including decision models, LLMs, and embeddings. Our benchmark runs 150 search queries against 536 tools. We settled on weighted BM25 with a few normalization rules. Fast, local, no model or API calls.

Come meet the Bay Area Rust community! We meet every third Wednesday of the month. And our next meetup is already here, on October 21. We'll meet at the Atuin office in the Mission. And we have a very cool lineup of speakers including @bedrockrobotics. RSVP below!

In this video, Joseph asks Delta to configure itself to use Ollama as a custom OpenAI-compatible provider. It all happens in the thread, without Joseph ever touching Settings.

AI Engineer New York was a blast! Loved all the fun chats and the chance to demo and discuss Delta in person. See you next time!

Who wants smaller Zed binaries? In the next Stable release, Zed's executable drops by ~30% across every platform.

Note: The Linux binary size reduction was split across two releases, with the bulk of it already live in this week's Stable release and the rest coming next week.

🚀 Zed v1.24 is out! You can now create Git tags directly in Zed. Use `git: create tag at head` from the command palette, or choose `Create Tag…` from a commit's context menu in Git history or Git Graph. Thanks cppcoffee!

You can now drag Terminal tabs into the Agent Panel to use them as Terminal Threads, keeping the same session, title, and state. Thanks cppcoffee!

The File Finder now pre-fills its query with text selected in the editor or terminal. You can disable this with `file_finder.prefill_query_from_selection`. Thanks AbyssWaIker!

Delta now has @mentions. Tag a teammate in a thread or comment and they’ll get an OS notification, with the mention saved in their Inbox. In this clip, Joseph opens a mention, uses a subthread to ask the agent for context, then returns to the original thread to comment.

Zed meetup in Amsterdam is just around the corner on October 27! 🎃 We're teaming up with AI Tinkerers and @jetbrains.com for a night of tech talks and networking (with food and drinks of course). Plus Zed dev Gaauwe Rombouts will share how and why we built Zed's newest product, Delta. RSVP below!
