The case is made clear by @haaretzcom.bsky.social: "58 percent of voters who have stated in a clear voice that they reject the Netanyahu project", the only way for his opponents to stop the violence and madness is to embrace real democracy and ally with their Arab citizens.
If Gadi Eisenkot and the opposition bloc are remotely serious about getting rid of Netanyahu, and about Israel’s democratic future, they’ll do the obvious, strategic, and non-racist thing of forming a government with the Arab parties.
The one thing I thought I could count on Trump for was deporting illegal alien criminals but he’s actually importing them.
Flávio Bolsonaro has fled to the United States following his defeat in Brazil's presidential election against Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Earlier this week, Brazilian police asked Bolsonaro to turn over his passport as he's being investigated in a money laundering case.
Criminal illegal alien insurrectionist and money launderer Flavio Bolsonaro entered the United States and the open arms of Trump and Rubio on a drug trafficker’s plane.
Brazil’s renowned Forum magazine with explosive news: jet used in Flávio Bolsonaro’s illegal escape from Brazil allegedly linked to accused drug trafficker in the US. Baires Fly’s intermediary was a partner of Fred Machado, who is accused of drug trafficking in the States.

Fox News is averaging 98,000 25- to 54-year-olds during the day. That is around .03% of Americans. Not three percent; one one-hundredth of three percent! So maybe political media could finally stop pretending that Fox is somehow speaking to the heart of America.
Scoop: Fox News will finish October with its worst ratings in years, an ominous sign for Republicans ahead of the midterms. Compared to last October, Fox News is DOWN 27% in total viewers and 32% in the 25-54 demo. MS NOW and CNN are up. Details in @status.news: www.status.news/p/fox-news-r...

I’m seeing people reacting by pointing out that he’s obviously wrong. I appreciate that, but it’s also a pointless exercise. The problem isn’t that he’s wrong. The problem is that this is normal in American politics — and it’s been normal for a while.
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."
Leave it to the guy who eats roadkill and grows worms in his brain to forget what culture literally invented fucking NUMBERS.

There's nuance here about "how do we use platforms owned by the fascists". You *have to understand the political purpose of the platforms* in order to use them to subvert authoritarians. For the most part, Americans simply do not. Centrists (including DNC consultants) do not. Major media does not.
Key lessons from Brazil Amplify our people. Ignore the opposition. Use the tools owned by fascists to defeat the fascists? Meet the people where they are. May need to reconsider my staunch position of boycotting Meta for the reason. Thoughts?
"We... animated some photos that are in the public domain, and from what we’ve been hearing from people it does bring people closer to that time in history." I doubt that making some photos swirl around looking all shitty will offset how many of us won't watch now bc it's tainted with AI garbage.
Scorsese, Affleck, Boyle, Lyonne, & now Ava DuVernay. Incredibly disappointing & heartbreaking. Absolutely love her work as an artist but using gen AI bullshit to "bring public domain photos to life" instead of hiring an artist is shameful. You didn't need it before. You don't need it now.

NY voter info: voting for Hochul on row D is essential to preserving the @nywfp.bsky.social ballot line which was a crucial tool for Zohran’s win, how we beat the GOP state senate etc. Vote yes on all nyc ballot measures. # 1 is of particular importance to me. It’ll make the city more accessible.

I just want to name that people overcame this. Even against a stacked deck, the good fight is worth it. Win or lose, it's worth it. And sometimes the good guys win.
Bolsonaro-friendly mayors appear to be sabotaging public transport on Election Day. Buses aren’t running in Lula-friendly areas, flights and ferries mysteriously canceled. Traffic lights have gone out and people’s power cut in Salvador, indigenous people’s travel restricted

All it takes.
Kansas Dem Sen. nominee Adam Hamilton on trans rights: “I don’t think we should take a small group of people and bully them, pick on them, and hurt them. I understand one thing really clearly when it comes to transgender people, and that is Jesus told me I was to love my neighbor as I love myself”
Not only is this tone deaf & cynical, it existentially damages the credibility of a party that is supposed to be built on standing up for the most vulnerable. And it WON'T FUCKING WORK Why would someone who hates trans people go for a 75% anti-trans candidate against someone who'd put them in camps?
Senate Democrats posted this the same day Josh Turek released the worst anti-trans ad of the cycle. Meanwhile, DCCC released their own anti-trans ad last week in South Carolina.
Can't remember the last time someone arrested for a crime this high profile wasn't subjected to a perp walk but since this lunatic who murdered a father on the George Washington Bridge is a retired detective he's being charged with manslaughter and there are no photos of him in any media coverage.
Americans who think the White House should look like a Cheesecake Factory are what the “enemies foreign *and domestic*” phrase from the oath of office was warning us about.
The important thing to remember about this person is that she's selling a book where she talks about Democrats being out of touch
