Look, you don’t understand. We have to let bad people do bad things. It’s the only way to show everyone how useless we really are.

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

regardless of whether you think the polls are right, the polls are wrong in favor of republicans, the polls are wrong in favor of democrats, or you just want all of us to shut up about polls, I hope we can all agree on one thing show up and vote to put these dipshits in an electoral dumpster

I emailed Patrick Healy, assistant managing editor for standards and trust at NYT, to ask why their story about a House report with new details of rape allegations against the President of the United States included neither those details, nor a single use of the word "rape." archive.is/1s9AM

This should be an easy point of solidarity, since Starbucks isn’t even good. I promise there are better coffee shops in your town!

Fight For A Union@fightforaunion.bsky.social

You don't need that Starbucks latte. 12,000 baristas have organized. They've spent years fighting for a fair first contract. They're demanding better pay, more hours, safe staffing and basic protections. Support the workers, not the corporation stonewalling them. Boycott Starbucks!

I better not be trapped in a web of causality behind my control or comprehension driven by the dead hand of the past and guided by ideologies I do not consciously understand

Over 2,000 alumni from Vivek’s all-boys catholic high school in Cincinnati have signed and circulated a petition demanding that he pull the ad and issue a public apology for “ignoring the moral responsibilities” of his Jesuit education. I think he’s pretty cooked.

Times have been tough in this Ohio town ever since the woke mob closed the old Cheesecake Factory. So when Vivek Ramaswamy promised to legalize child rape, they finally had something to cheer about again. But then Obama said something elitist.

“This rich history of the GOP’s support for rape and abuse of women and children certainly set the stage for the Ramaswamy ad, but it didn’t make it any less appalling. Because while excusing these sorts of behaviors may be normal to true believers, none of this is normal.” #GORP

Polls don’t matter, vote like the nation will slide into fascism and send you personally to the gulag if you don’t.

"Online Rent-a-Sage" Bret Devereaux@bretdevereaux.bsky.social

Honestly, I find I do not really want to read anymore 'look how good the polls are for democrats!' takes. Expectations are getting out of hand; a world where you get R+2 correlated polling error and thus miss on Maine, Alaska and Texas is possible. Of course, so is D+2 polling error. 🤷‍♂️

This is Tommy. Tommy had a question about my allegiances. Listen to the end to hear about his.

One can’t help notice the difference between the positive vision for America coming from AOC, El-Sayed, and Mamdami, and the “trans people scary” and “my opponent is gay” rhetoric from the R’s. People love hope. Establishment dems should take note.

Early voting in NC started this week so I went and voted. (Assuming you are an American citizen), make a plan to go vote! All of the foot stomping and sharing and talking on social media doesn't matter a damn unless it reaches the ballot box. Get mad, vote angry.
