my one criticism with box office culture is that all these amazing films come out when people are struggling, to not do simultaneous stream releases in 2026 feels like a disservice to both audiences and filmmakers. some of us are disabled and poor, but would otherwise be supporting films!

artists, creatives, we all deserve better. the longevity of so many who work in the creative industry is bleak, because so many are forced to crunch, rely on gig work and lack of stability, while executives mull over who of us deserves bread.

Eric Bauza wasn't just an incredible actor. He fought for all of us, for the preservation of art, to see that real art got to shine, even in the face of corporate greed. The importance of him using his platform and his voice for the betterment of art cannot be understated. Goodnight, sir.
