With Trump's removal of Starlink, Russians are now hunting cars full of people in Kyiv, using jet drones for which Ukraine's interceptors no longer function to stop.
Three people murdered an hour ago in southern Kyiv, with six others injured, three of which are children.

New paper with Krystyna Bielecka in Mind & Language: “Contentful skills: Procedural memory and the representational challenge to non-representational cognition” 1/n
The Content-Binding Problem was introduced in Krystyna’s companion paper on Korsakoff’s syndrome (“The Content-Binding Problem in Radical Enactivism”), which took a swift 2 years to clear peer review at Philosophical Explorations. 3/n
New paper with Krystyna Bielecka in Mind & Language: “Contentful skills: Procedural memory and the representational challenge to non-representational cognition” 1/n
TL;DR:
1. Radical and enactive embodied cognition is always already representational.
2. Procedural memory cannot function without solving the Content-Binding Problem.
3. We lay out procedural memory’s 3 core properties: method-specificity, sequencing, and error evaluation. 2/n
Springer Nature retracted two studies by Max Planck. In response to a question from @samkean.bsky.social, they issued this statement:
"Detailed information about specific retractions is usually confidential and can only be shared with the relevant authors.”

Third fix: EU digital sovereignty. Most major platforms are foreign-owned & may not share European democratic values. The report backs decentralised alternatives — think Mastodon, FediVerse, Eurosky — and calls for a "European CERN for Data & Democracy."

For nearly a half century, trickle-down economic policies have resulted in a tax system rigged in favor of the rich. This is not only bad for our economy, but it’s leading to a billionaire takeover of our democracy as well. Watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkiO0_uSJAk

I've been holding onto my subscription to WaPo, mostly out of loyalty to #CarolynHax, but this is the last straw. Glyphosate does not need protection!!! The American people need protection from toxic chemicals & our regulatory system needs protection from corporate interference.

Here's another @zotero plugin for you! Search & Replace in Library metadata. I always missed a convenient way to remove Worldcat URLs from printed books. Ugly and unnecessary. Now you can. It's a pre-release, so back up your library because it may wreak havoc. github.com/milekpl/zote...

What is it like to be part of the Trump Regime? Hard to imagine.
“How was your day dear?”
“Oh pretty good. I shielded a few billionaire paedophiles from justice. How about you?”
“Fairly quiet really. Just some voter suppression and racial profiling. Nice to get to own a few Libs in the process.”

I built a Zotero plugin to fix inconsistent author names in your library. (J. Smith, John Smith, Smith John… we're all familiar.)
Mendeley had this for years. @zotero.org didn't. 500+ cases in my library alone.
Now you can batch-review and normalize all at once: github.com/milekpl/zote.... Free.
