I've seen a lot of misinformation and confusion about Canada's migrant labour policies since Monday's vote in Alberta. At the risk of seeming opportunistic, I encourage anyone wanting to understand more about these policies, past and present, to read Precarious: The Lives of Migrant Workers.

Just a reminder that the theft of Palestinian land and the destruction of Palestinian lives began long before Netanyahu and will continue after he's gone. He is not the problem.

Interesting comment by Janet Brown (pollster goddess) on CBC this morning: Only 40% voted for 1-9. Her initial analysis is that people took the “No to the nine” as “say no to voting for the nine” 😮
