Chances that anyone in Brazil and in game dev doesn't know Thais feel relatively low, but just in case: the results of Brazil's elections are going to heavily affect game dev as a viable cultural expression & viable career. It's a thread worth reading.

Penguin Colony is a game where at times holds Lovecraft's bigotry to a mirror and bludgeons him over the head with it while condemning the absurdity of its perpetuation in modern day At other times you're a neat little penguin doing Tony Hawk tricks on your belly w/ squawks that explode nazi heads

This is not beautiful to see. This is the most racist democracy on planet earth, and people just expect Black people to sing negro spirituals and "overcome." It's not working. This still happens for one reason and one reason only: white US folk don't hold each other accountable for this racism.

It's sometimes really, really hard to remember the good in humanity when the fight against fascism through the democratic process is this much of an uphill battle. I'm not saying humanity is evil, or that goodness can't persist. It's just so frustrating to see fascists given the chances they get.

I post about this game a lot but the truth is it’s a great game made by nice people and right now it is five dollary-doos.

I searched via @duckduckgo.com's NO-AI subdomain (why they have a yes-ai domain I can't fathom) with AI results explicitly set to "hide" Search terms: "detailed human anatomy" Can you guess which of these results are AI-generated? If you said "all of them" then you understand how cooked we are

This is one of those experiments you can try for yourselves. And, even more, you can check each image to see how useless/appalling-incorrect they are.

There are a lot of times where it's absolutely imperative that we question the ethical and political inferences of finding joy in the misfortune of others. Bad things happening to Milo Yiannopoulos are *never* those times. Dude could perish in a forest fire and it'd still be righteous and funny

2-step program on how to succeed at social media: 1. Wait until someone posts a video of an escalator malfunction where it speeds up and launches/injures people 2. Be the first to reply with "That escalated quickly"

Lil Gator Game is a wonderful time, so definitely consider it if you're cool and/or like cool things

I don't have any influence or anything, but I highly recommend Lil Gator Game to anyone who sees this. Genuinely one of the most fun indie games I've played in a while, and it was surprisingly emotional for being a cute, short game. That and Robo Quest 👍 store.steampowered.com/app/1586800/...

Okay, I am going to tell a little story. It's one I have saved for the last couple years, almost nobody knows about it. But it lives in my heart. I don't know how others will feel about it, maybe something, maybe nothing. It's about the Uncanny X-Men. 1/
