This is literally the end of the rule of law. If a President can pardon people committing crimes on his behalf - and the Supreme Court says he himself can't be prosecuted for crimes committed as part of his job - then the government becomes a lawless entity able to violate our rights without limit.

I would go further and insist in general that pardons should (though it is not currently this way) only apply to conduct already prosecuted and sentenced. It should be a grant of mercy for someone who has been confirmed as punished, not a get out of jail free card

The fact that the president's doctors are giving him the dementia test over and over again -- tracking his decline, most likely -- and that the president keeps bragging about having to take that test should be a five-alarm fire.

As others have written this golf course is also a large public park w/roads, parking, and bike lanes. It is a top destination for the region's cyclists. My son used to train there. All that will be gone, and the public will lose access unless golfing. No city would ever propose a plan like this.
