I'm going to try to do this cleanly. Today's right wing governments are networked to each other. Those networks are well-documented. You can read about them in books. Following the elections in one node of that network is good practice for understanding the U.S. node.

I've figured out why Trump is recently so fascinated with examining men's bodies. It isn't homoeroticism, that would be too normal and healthy; he's shopping. He's got a very seasonally themed scheme to replace his failing carcass with a new body constructed to order, and he's looking for parts.

I miss having a smart president who could communicate so well. I know he wasn’t perfect. Nobody is. But Jesus how far we’ve fallen.

A lot of Democrats seem to think abandoning trans rights removes a weapon from the right. Conservatives are now yelling about a "red-green alliance" and sending operatives to try and embarrass Muslim candidates. If you're defending oppressed minorities they'll ALWAYS find a weapon. You should too.

This is not beautiful to see. This is the most racist democracy on planet earth, and people just expect Black people to sing negro spirituals and "overcome." It's not working. This still happens for one reason and one reason only: white US folk don't hold each other accountable for this racism.

My favorite bit is when an overly confident politician doesn’t understand how things work. I was once covering a local board for the town paper when an elected official made an inflammatory remark then looked at me and said, “That’s off the record.” My dude, it’s a public meeting.
