BradBrad's wife is a developer. Kathryn Randle is an exec at Rockport. For awhile, she sat on a BILD committee with Alana DeGasperis. BILD is the lobby group for the "home building, residential and non-residential land development and professional renovation industries."

Firing squad execution to be livestreamed, Pentagon says. Lost for words at the insanity in Trumpistan, a truly sick dictatorship. Like medieval times, executions offered as a public spectacle in a country that claims to be Christian. What next?

Carney is trying to get ahead of criticisms by saying this announcement is tied to others: carbon capture (a snake oil solution to climate change used to extract more oil from depleted wells) And ocean conservation efforts (good! But not enough to mitigate the pipeline harm!!)

Today is Canada's Day of Truth and Reconciliation. It is not a day to celebrate. It is a day to listen. A day to recognize the costs of colonialism and capitalism.

A woman was drugged, raped, and sexually trafficked to members of a fraternity. Two of the men involved were expelled. Five were given the opportunity to mitigate suspension by *writing an essay.* The dozens of other men who knew this was happening and said nothing? You already know the answer.

OH MY GOD PEOPLE THINK THIS BECAUSE THE GLOBE AND MAIL’S BUSINESS COLUMNIST MADE A VIDEO, ON THE GLOBE’S OFFICIAL ACCOUNT, MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE AND IT’S STILL UP!!!!!! UNCORRECTED!!!! CONCESSION AGREEMENT DOESNT JUST MEAN FOOD OH MY GOD THIS IS OUR MOST “SERIOUS” BUSINESS MEDIA BRO 😭😭😭😭

Rachel Gilmore@rachelgilmore.bsky.social

Oh my god. People saw the term “concession agreement” (basically a lease) and keep angrily telling me it’s just food and shops being privatized at airports. Concession has multiple meanings. Investors would manage the entire airport. Like highway 407.

While most other journalists ran with the Arday story as their summer sport, we've been looking at Cambridge for years, and @hardeepmatharu.bsky.social's investigation into the impact of Arday's death on his students and fellow academics is fearless and also heartbreaking. Genuine reporting

Hardeep Matharu@hardeepmatharu.bsky.social

The story of Jason Arday is the story of James Orr. Of the ideology which has found a foothold in Cambridge University, fostering the sorts of ideas that formed the undercurrents – sometimes explicit; sometimes unconscious – against Arday. I returned to my alma mater for an in-depth exploration 👇

The myth Alberta 'subsidizes' the rest of Canada is the most powerful meme in the separatist armoury. But it's utterly false. I show that most Albertans get more back from federal programs than they personally pay in federal taxes, for @thetyee.ca: thetyee.ca/Opinion/2026... #abpoli /2

Most people don't know that the best way to make a service more efficient is to bring in a layer of upper management devoted solely to extracting a profit from it. It takes a doctorate in economics to figure that one out.

The world’s richest have descended on Canada — and they’re hungry. The menu of Canadian projects and assets up for sale (and those not disclosed) have some onlookers worried about privatization. What Canada will be left when the dust of the Trump threat settles? This summit raises that question:
