Watching the riveting Gibney doc on Musk again, and it's staggering how many people have remained on Twitter after Musk bought it with the express purpose of dismantling democracy and silencing dissent. Trump will be gone and we'll still have Elon. We really are doomed if people don't wake up.

I'm not sure most Canadians realize what's happening right now with Indigenous folks and the Carney government. All morning there has been voice after voice from Indigenous leadership, youth, from across the country, telling us they're gearing up for a fight for their rights. This is big!

I am attending the company wide safety meeting, and I'm watching my instructor (and head of safety) struggle to set up a projector/PA system and it's taking all I have to not get up and just do the fucking thing. Being a retired film/stage tech comes with its own challenges.

Hello my friends 💙 Just the kindest, most appreciative of reminders that if you email/DM me ideas for sketches, Beaverton headlines, etc., I will not be able to use them because then they're not my own ideas! Please use them and make your own stuff though! We need more Canadian political comedy!

Three years later, VPD returns some items seized in 2023 raid on our mushroom dispensaries. Trashed ATM, framed blotter art sheets, boxes of documents. The remnants of "Operation Toadstool." I spent a few hours in jail, but no charges & we reopened the next day. They still have tons more stuff.

What Kamala Harris proposes in not impeaching Trump is this the same reason why letting Jefferson Davis and the rest of the Confederate soldiers and leaders off the hook was a bad idea.. We've been paying for it ever since😡

Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea. I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there. I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…

"C-39 would “codify and structure” ministerial powers under Section 107 to prevent or end strikes, which “could alter the balance of bargaining power between unions and employers in federally regulated industries, particularly where workers’ ability to withhold their labour is their" main leverage!

C-39 is a Harperesque multi-pronged attack. 👇 "Behind it, however, is a long-term, no-holds-barred struggle with environmentalists, First Nations, and labour, who won’t be universally prepared to welcome government expediting its agenda and rolling over to the free market in the name of urgency."

One of my favourite summer jobs was working at my local national park while I was in college. It was heartbreaking to see and hear stories of how funding had been slashed over the decades... our parks play such important natural, cultural, economic, and social roles. They hold so much potential.

At least $50 billion for another pipeline. $82 billion in new military spending in 5 years. $300 billion in corporate welfare and mega incentives at an investment summit. But the cupboard is bare for Parks Canada.

i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

There was a brand new allegation that the president raped a woman in the 1990s yesterday and it appears to not be on the NYT homepage at all right now

It is short and so I assume they are looking into things but it is... interesting... that the NYT piece on the new House Dems report on Trump ties to Epstein simply does not mention the brand new rape allegation and says whatever this is instead www.nytimes.com/2026/10/26/u...
