16 years you was with us. Thank you for all the joy you’ve given us over those years but too soon you had to go. Missing you, bestest friend to us all. Love you Frodo.

Here's an easter egg in the new Lego Batman that I think all of you will REALLY appreciate. It's so good, I had to make a video.

Sigh. Of course nothing will change after this. Not with USA’s current administration.

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read. He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

The only way for USA to take Canada as its 51st state is to invade/go to war against Canada. That's all it is.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Trump announces more tariffs on Canada and says, "The only thing that makes sense is for Canada to become our cherished Fifty First State."

Love this. 🤣

I don't generally go out into the public timeline and fuck with people unless I'm certain they'd be into it. But when they show up in my replies, they get what they're askin' for. Most notoriously, that time a magazine editor ended up on the back cover of my book being a jackass.

It's going to be Milan 1880 all over again...

Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers. This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder. Auschwitz took time.

Vice President-Elect Trump's fragile ego wouldn’t tolerate this for long. It’s not going to be long before he start taking it out on President-Elect Musk. Popcorn at the ready.

Seth Abramson@sethabramson.bsky.social

CNN confirmed on-air just now that top Trump aides are furiously calling journalists to insist that Elon Musk has been following the orders of Trump rather than the other way around. As predicted, Trump is horrified and enraged at the idea that Musk is now seen as the President of the United States.

Been described to me that "woke" means anything that they don't like. On that account, I'm going to say The Tories/Reform etc are all woke.

I will join you in this meeting.

Jake Williams@malwarejake.bsky.social

One day I'm going to meet the person who decided the port option in ssh is -p and in scp it's -P. They will not enjoy this meeting...

Great thread and you learn something too!

Notre Dame in Paris re-opens this wkd. I'm a cathedral nerd. Here are some things that you might not notice about it – just from that one photo. THREAD. 1. You can see straight down the nave to the apse. No medieval English cathedral has that.

I am delighted when people block me. It means they've decided that their Bluesky experience will be better without me in it, and availed themselves of the tools at their disposal to rid themselves of my pernicious self. Good for them! I celebrate their actions! Everyone deserves their best Bluesky.

This post is unavailable.

I see some fantastic starter packs in topics that I'm interested in but at present they all only offer "follow all" option. What I would love is for a "Add to List" option, I use lists based on interest etc. #featurerequest @bsky.app

What the hell is this Garmin? Being nice for a change?! Instead of telling me I’m just unproductive or worse 🤣 #running #trailrunning

@neillyneil.bsky.social Was just checking out your profile after the job ad and it's wild reading your profile about how you can't form mental images etc. Being deaf myself, I have no auditory memory, so audio-based language like English is hard - I use visual mental images like reading etc to do it

Word of day is on fire. 😂

Susie Dent@susiedentwords.bsky.social

Word of the day is ‘sequaciousness’ (16th century): the slavish and reckless following of another person in matters of thought or opinion.

I don’t yet know many infosec folks on Bluesky and not sure if any follow but on the off chance any does…

Neil Williams@neillyneil.bsky.social

Hello, Just updated my handle to be my own domain so now I'm @jgj.pt (in a sense, this is like a "blue tick" but is actually a verified account for me rather than just a paid account)

So Daily Mail came out with an article raging about young Brits going for woke sandwiches. Yes “woke” sandwiches. Instead of ham etc, they’ve gone woke. The filling? Chicken. Yes just ordinary chicken. I feel for DM readers. They must go through life being absolutely terrified of everything.

This.

In the real world, if you leave a pub because everybody is screaming abuse, there are constant fights, and you get no service because the spoiled brat of a landlord too busy sucking up to Nazis... nobody accuses you of vanishing into an elitist echo chamber. Same applies online.

All of a sudden Bluesky seem busy and lots more posting. No wonder with these charts!

John Burn-Murdoch@jburnmurdoch.ft.com

This is really getting quite remarkable • BlueSky user numbers have doubled in the past week and now total 3.5 million across US & UK 🚀 • Number of people deleting their X/Twitter account remains way up And the next chart is particularly notable...

Privatisation of monopolies are a failure - what a complete surprise. Put it back into public ownership. Yeah, it'll cost a vast fortune so rules need to be strictly to pay British suppliers and so on. At least it would be an investment into British economy and it'll be over decades.

George Monbiot@georgemonbiot.bsky.social

Four things to say about the £23bn Thames Water needs for infrastructure repair: 1. As I understand it, this covers only extreme, emergency repairs, for infrastructure that’s about to fail or has already done so. 2. It’s almost certainly an underestimate. Another short privatisation🧵

At this point this over the top obsession of “woke” have sunk to insanity.

LBC@lbc.co.uk

@mrjamesob.bsky.social can't believe what's being classed as 'woke' now.

Site looks just like Twitter. Except that it actually works...just a tad lacking in content which is to be expected in early days. Anyway hello all.

You are up to date.
