I have worked in reality TV for over 26 years. Over the past 3.75 years, I have produced 61 episodes of BELLE COLLECTIVE, 41 as showrunner. And with this reunion, I have my first solo credit card as Executive Producer. I am so proud of this cast, this crew, this show and of me! #bellecollective

It’s just so appalling and enraging how casual and commonplace this has become. I’m out of words.

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

"You will only have yourselves to blame." That's... quite a thing to say 8 days before an election. They know they are toast.

Charlie Angus@charlieangus104.bsky.social

It's going bad when the strategy is to blame the voters in advance. The crowd behind him is hilarious.

My husband and I were walking home from dinner and passed by a guy in sunglasses standing under a light post. “You’re going the wrong way”, he said. Without breaking my stride, I replied “Are we?” And kept walking. As we walked away from him, he said “Fucking f****ts.” (1/)

Now, I’ve dealt with these kinds of losers my whole life. They want a reaction. So, my husband and I kept walking. To all the bigoted douches out there, I will live my life and pay you exactly this:

My husband and I have a tradition for every Election Day. We get the polls when they open, we vote and then go out for breakfast. Civic duty AND waffles? It's a win-win.

important reporting on voting rights in North Carolina:

jacob biba@jacobbiba.bsky.social

for @nclocal.bsky.social and @opencampus.org I wrote about how most student IDs from North Carolina community colleges aren't approved for voting in this year's election. Just 24 or 58 schools had their IDs approved, which is 4 fewer than in 2024. nclocal.org/2026/10/14/n...

Zelensky: "When our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations... It’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from."

The targeting of one data center is proving a really useful natural experiment showing which sites and ideologies are an echo chamber of Russian propaganda

Uh oh, did someone’s website and personal account experience a big drop in activity after Ukraine hit a Russian data center?

Jon Collins reposted

I wonder how many people on Twitter and Instagram will suddenly not be posting? I wonder how many less likes Farage and Reform will be getting?

I guess I’m in the minority for focusing on how Trump’s oil deal helps Putin while most are focused on how little it helps US oil/diesel prices.

I can go the rest of my life not hearing anything from or about Megyn Kelly. I get it: she’s vile. Nothing more needs to be said about her.

Los Angeles has been my home for over half my life. This man is making a bad joke about nuking the 2nd largest city in the country and San Diego, where the fleet is situated! We could have had Kamala Harris but no. I hate this so so much. www.nbclosangeles.com/news/local/l...

I'm kinda over this app. I just use it now to check on a couple of friends and that's about it. I'm seeing more snide and condescending posts more often and it's really disheartening. I was hoping this would be a good replacement for 2013 Twitter. It's now behaving like 2019 Twitter. Bleh.

DoorDash spent $1.4M trying to stop Zohran Mamdani from becoming mayor. This week's historic $131.5M enforcement action against DoorDash for underpaying NYC delivery workers shows why. Yet another reminder that the only thing that can beat organized money is organized people.

Some good news: the proposed federal film & TV tax incentive bill also includes unscripted TV! This is excellent news. So many competition shows shoot oversees due to cost; this can help bring more production back to the US. I hope this passes soon. deadline.com/2026/09/fede...

I guess one way in which I differ from the Republican nominee for US Senator from Minnesota is that I love Minnesota and enjoy living here. Something I like about @peggyflanagan.bsky.social is that she likes the place she is running to represent. Seems like it may help someone in that job.

Michele Tafoya last year: "I escaped California, and now I gotta escape Minnesota at some point"

From a few days ago. People love to rag on Los Angeles and California. Tom and I moved here in 1999. It took some work but we carved out a great life here. We have great friends here, some of our family is here in CA. But to me, the biggest thing is this: I found myself here. (1/)

I’ve been here for 27 years, half of my life. Here, I had an old dream crash and burn and a new one emerge that has brought out the best in me. Here, I became domestic partners and then married the love of my life. Here, I have bonded with family and friends in deep and profound ways. (2/)

“Why would Hasan Piker say that?” Well, because it made you do just that. He’s a brand, not an agent for change in the world. It’s like you’re asking why Mr. Beast isn’t doing more to get Democrats elected.
